Even thought the hotel is old, due to aging city's economy and population decrease, however it was well maintained and clean. Staff was very kind. The view from the hotel room looking at Shimabara castle was fantastic. Location is very convenient, close to the arcade shopping area although most stores weren't operating, close to samurai residential street and carp street. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.

Old established hotel with a family mart located just beside. There are 2 flight of stairs before reaching the entrance of the hotel. Parking lot is located diagonally the hotel with no fee charged for hotel guests. However, most of the city area has free parking. Hotel is about 7mins drive from Shimabara port. Overall, an average stay for us.

Great price and location.

My room on the street-facing side had a great view of Shimabara Castle and the ocean. It was a very spacious room, with a huge refrigerator. There was a microwave in the hall by the elevator. There was also a tatami space as well as western-style furniture. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the castle and the bukeyashiki. There was also a top sheet on the bed as well as a comforter. It was also very affordable. On the negative side, there was a constant gurgling sound coming from the A/C unit, even though it wasn’t turned on. I needed earplugs to be able to sleep. Also, the stopper in the bathtub and especially in the sink didn’t work well at all.

客室の状態は特に問題なかったが、夜通しどこからかの部屋からドンドンと音がして気になり寝付けなかった。またチェックインの際受付の係員が長電話中で5分程待たされた。チェックアウトの時は係員が何処かに行っておりやはり5分程待たされた。(多分、受付は常時1名体制かと思う。)とは言え概ね不満はなかったので、また島原に行った際は利用したい。

Le personnel est extrêmement gentil. La chambre etait petite mais parfaite pour un sejour court. Lit confortable et assez grand .. petit dejeuner japonais basic. Demander une chambrecavec vue sur le château.

とにかく眺めの良い部屋で満足でした。部屋のお風呂は小さかったので近くの温泉に行きましたがそれもよかったです。 ただフロントやエレベーターが人口香料の臭い（ファブリーズのような）がきつくて気持ち悪くなってしまったので、その点改善されたら良いなと思いました。 その他の点においてはもう一度利用したいと思いました。
