The amenities were truly excellent--free tea/coffee, yogurt drink (in morning), popsicles (afternoon/evening), soba noodles (late night snack). The onsen was also very nice. The room was excellent overall, although the room I was in had some sort of pungent odor that was not from the tatami or anything readily visible.
This was one of the best decisions I ever made. The place was incredible and perfect. I highly recommend it. The owners are amazing and very relaxing, and the breakfast has an incredible view.
The staff were very kind & the hotel was very clean. The dinner I got served with my stay was amazing! The private bath house was also very nice. A lot of amenities provided. Free tea, ramen, etc. Be aware that the hotel is a far (about 30 minute) walk from the bus station and about 40 from the village. There are shuttle busses that will take you there, but they are small & only run at certain times. Plan ahead accordingly (I did not, which was my own fault.)
All the staffs were so attentive, helpful, accommodating and respectful. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommendable for tourists who want to visit Shirakawa-go😍
We had a lovely 2 night stay at Onyado
Yuinoshou In Shirakawa. Room was amazing and the experience of a private outdoor spa. Also wearing no shoes & Yukata was a lovely experience. Amazing to be only 5 mins drive to Shirawawa go heritage village.
Wondering ryokan with delicious and beautiful meals. The staff is nice and a shuttle to go to Shirakawa-go historical site. They even remove the accumulated snow on your car
A must place to visit in Japan. Great ambience, delicious breakfast and dinner. Hot springs tub in private outdoors. Great place to hike with amazing view of small town from the top. Lots of gift shops and snack stores. Restaurants had long wait list. Air was clean, weather was perfect for T-shirt wear. During rain, there was a mist floating in the mountains. Love this place!!
Staff take great care of you. Definitely do the onsite dinner and breakfast, not just because they are excellent, but also because there are almost no other restaurants for dinner in the area.
Really nice spot stay a night or 2 to enjoy Shirakawago. Facility amenities is unmatched. Onsite onsen is nice ( private/public). A bit far from the bus station however they do have shuttle service to the bus station and back. Highly recommended especially with a large party.
I highly recommend their breakfast. It was a harmonious experience with local food and ambience using all of our five senses.
Beautiful place, friendly staff and relaxing hot springs!!! ❤️
Our stay was a great experience. I was able to relax and decompress despite my very short 16h stay thanks to the private and public open air baths, snacks, yukata, and attentive and welcoming staff.
We initially were not sure how to get to the property from the Shirakawa Go bus terminal and had started a 30-minutr walk. But!--before we got to far, we spotted a shuttle with the Onyado Yui no Sho sign. We luckily were able to board the shuttle.
We opted for the dinner and breakfast reservations and it definitely was a highlight of the experience-- traditional and fresh foods served as 3(?) courses, presented in beautiful dining pieces. Our sever was very friendly and accommodating, and even sought feedback on his English! (He shared with us that he has studied and plans to continue studying abroad, and his English will only improve!) I am very awe-inspired by the staff's dedication to hospitality.
Our room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! Beds were comfortable. I will plan to return to Onyado Yui no Sho in the near future for much needed self-care and healing.
Amazing hotel. Relatively new so everything was fresh and clean. Quiet location. Traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. Hot spring baths were wonderful. Comfortable beds and spacious room. Part of Dormy Inn group as they had complimentary Yakult and coffee which was a bonus.
Great room with traditional vibes and good views, they had shuttle bus to shirakawa-go. It was a lot of breakfast and it was interesting. And the onsen was super cozy with an outdoor area and it was clean. Overall no complaints at all.
