Shitogo Banyan Tree

We stayed in one of the bigger rooms with the outdoor bath. Only fits one at a time for adults but the deck and upper deck are beautiful. Room is overall clean, big and kitchen was great considering the island food opens late and closes early. A car is needed to access and anyone visiting Yakushima needs a rental car. I don't think it is possible to enjoy it as much without one after being there. The staff and owners are wonderful people and really treat their guests like gold. The tankan juice is amazing and they served us some handmade snacks/juice that is too die for. I speak japanese so no language barrier however, they provide enough translated information and handmade catalogs with english/japanese for the whole island. 設備 ホスピタリティ共に最高のお宿でした。立地に関してはおそらくレンタカーなどがないと厳しいでしょうが、レンタカーさえあればそれ以上に素晴らしい接客を受けることができます。海を眺めながらの五右衛門風呂、ウェルカムドリンクとしていただいたタンカンジュースなどとても手厚いサービスを受けましたがそれ以上にスタッフの方々の大変暖かい接客に感銘を受けました。とにかく明るく、優しく丁寧に接していただきました。忘れられない思い出をつくれて本当に嬉しく思います。また屋久島に行く機会があったら次も利用したく思います。他の方にもおススメできる素晴らしい宿でした。
