I loved being in a historic home which had been restored so beautifully. Jim and Kim thought of everything to make our stay comfortable down to the luxurious bath towels, and amazing breakfasts! It brought up so many memories of my own home growing up in Minden. Made my trip home absolutely perfect!

Great place to relax!

Quite, comfortable, clean; best sleep I’ve had in months. Our host and hostess were professional land friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of he home and the surrounding area. The grounds were maintained beautifully and, given the current weather and drought conditions, were very well cared for. The breakfast, and the choices, were wonderful!

Wonderful and a blessing!

We were in town for a funeral and we’re pretty miserable coming into town. However, we stayed with Kim and Jim(hopefully that is his name because I think I forgot lol) and things got so much better! Kim’s breakfasts are amazing and her coffee bars are so convenient. The room was so clean and beautiful. The bed was so soft and the blankets were clean and fluffy. We loved their bulldog and their (neighbor’s) cats! The chickens were so fascinating to our nine month old and she loved watching them. Blue jays were hanging out around the property all the time and it was wonderful to watch them. This was such a wonderful place to stay and we left in such a better place than when we came. The only thing I wish for is more trash cans in the room as our daughter went through so many diapers I felt bad leaving them for Kim to dump. We will be back when we come back into town!!!

James and Kim were super nice hosts! They have a beautiful historical gem! Room was comfortable and quiet for a much needed rest from a long day on the road. Breakfast and coffee were delicious served in their beautiful dining room! Great way to start the day before hitting the road again!!

Wonderful overnight stay at the Huffman House B&B!

Our hosts, Kimberly and Jim, were wonderful--friendly, welcoming, accomodating and breakfast was amazing. We had 4 choices of delicious breakfasts to choose from and a choice of the time being served. To our surprise, they brought to our room a wonderful evening snack and drink. We would highly recommend the Huffman House.

Home Away From Home

This was an excellent break from my routine stay at a local hotel chain. The Huffman House was everything you would want for a guest in your own home, cozy, spacious, clean and inviting. The owners were extremely gracious and took the initiative to go the extra mile in every detail of my stay. Kim even had coffee and a to-go breakfast for me every morning at 6:00am. My guestroom was perfect with a very comfortable bed. Even the family dog was fun and loving! I look forward to coming back to the Huffman home on my next trip to Minden!

In need of an update

I love old houses but this one is in pretty good need of an update , pool was nice though so that was worth it but I wish they'd have least picked up the cigarette butts on the porch .

Amazing!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and their owners. They were so engaging and truly thought of everything to make your stay amazing! The rooms were clean and comfy. There was coffee in the rooms which made the mornings great! The owners make an amazing breakfast and offer recommendations around town. I am sending everyone their way!!

Pleasant and quiet b&b

We were escaping a hurricane and chose this lively b&b. The hosts are delightful and very accommodating. Our room was big , pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. There is not a lot to do in the area, but this b&b is a very good place to stop if passing through.

We enjoyed our stay at Huffman House. The owner and her daughter were friendly and super accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was clean and so relaxing after a five hour drive. The room was huge and comfortable. The house is gorgeous. We will definitely stay here again.
