“The house was very beautiful, warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the morning view eating breakfast in the kitchen. The kids loved the upstairs setup and kid friendly area. The decor was also very pleasing! We were excited to see the option of many different books, games and other activities. The house was clean and very comfortable! “This was a very economical place to stay centered beside the entrance to Yellowstone. Owner was nice and stayed behind us in his own cabin. Cooke City in general wasn’t as welcoming as we had expected other than the fly shop that was closing down for the season while we were there. Gas stations, restaurants, and other amenities were super expensive so bring what you can or stop before you get there to buy what you need. Overall we had a great time!”

“The cabin was nice. It has a kitchenette, so preparing meals was convenient. Cooke City is a very small town, with no cell service, and limited eateries and supplies. So we brought all of our food, including meals that we premade, and just heated up. We came to watch the wildlife in the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park, and Cooke City is minutes away from the East end of the park. Which is a big plus. “It was adequate for our purpose. Very close to the NE entrance to Yellowstone. My only suggestions is a better place to put garbage after it’s full. Leaving it outside attracted some of the community wandering dogs. Also seating for the patio such as fold up chairs would have been nice. The interior is ok but could use some updating. Yet, in our case we were not there much of the time so what is there was sufficient.”
