Clean and quiet

Lovely older home renovated with care. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Tastefully decorated. Quiet and safe neighborhood near shopping and fabulous Wheaton park.

Fell short of expectations

Lovely little home. The most comfortable beds but very high. So beds are hard to climb into. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. However, we did not have time to cook a dinner meal (or too exhausted). Outside needed some landscaping clean up. Does not look like pictures onlineBackyard security lights kept coming on in middle of night. Hostess denied anyone lived/rented in basement but construction van in driveway kept coming/going at all hours. And was parked in driveway all night.Bedrooms need dressers for those of us staying more than a couple of days. As well as a small table lamp in the 2nd bedroom for convenience at bed time

You just have to know what you're actually getting.

The property is very cute and clean. There were plenty of comfortable, nice quality linens, towels, paper towels, and toilet paper. I would stay here again now that I know what to expect. The only problem was with the accuracy of the listing and the reply from the host when it was brought to her attention. We paid more money to book this property because the first words on the listing are "Entire Home". When we - 2 single women traveling alone - arrived at nt, we heard what sounded like a growling bear underneath the floor!!! Low and behold, a man was sleeping in the basement!!! When we brought this to her attention, she was unapologetic and said it was a "misunderstanding". ABSOLUTELY NOT. I read and understand English more than clearly as an English professor. She even pointed to the description as her evidence that we were the ones mistaken. What it says is that the house is a ONE floor (nothing about a rentable basement) 2 bdrm house. She didn't understand that those words mean that ALL of the house is just the one floor. As I said, the biggest problem was her nonchalant attitude about her false advertising. All I want her to understand from now on is COMMUNICATION IS KING and a humble apology always goes a long way because she also failed to mention that she has workers coming to and from the house (outside to pick up work trucks) everyday. Again, single women traveling alone. Then she said they were doing what they do "as usual". As a STRANGER, there's no as usual.
