“Our stay had some wonderful highlights but also room for improvement. The front desk staff was excellent—very professional and welcoming. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a very good selection of high-quality food.However, the bar staff needs to up their game. “We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. “The hotel itself it minimal & modern.which was lovely However our inland view was of a huge rock face absolutely no view at all so didn't inspire my husband and I to sit on the balcony on an evening. We ask if we could move several times but " no other rooms available apart from the next room which had the exact view !! “We loved our stay here the front desk staff was helpful especially with navigating the bus routes! Our room was beautiful. There was easy access to a very nice beach. There were a couple restaurant options within walking distance on the beach. It’s about at 20 minute walk to old town Skiathos or a quick bus route from stop 5 to stop 0. Breakfast was okay for a breakfast buffet.”

“The beach was further away than what was described and the “road” was not an actual road. The amenities ended up being less than what was listed, there are no washers, no parking, wifi sucks, etc. the pool was not clean, the food remained the same every day. It’s far from the main road. Towels were never changed, sheets never changed, never sweeper or mopped the room and we stayed for a decent time. Depending on the room the appliances did not work which we didn’t find out until everything went……

The grounds and pool area were beautifully maintained and both quiet and relaxing. Staff were friendly and visible at all times, nothing was too much trouble. “The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful . The breakfast and lunch was good, The sun beds were very comfortable, 20€ for 2 beds plus 1 umbrella. Unless you were in the front row when it was 25€. As there was 3 of us no option but to pay for 4 beds ! Hotel situated in an ideal spot, bus stop 5, with an easy was into town on the lower road, Supermarket across the road. I booked a sea view suite which I believed was in the new block but it wasn’t it was in the hotel which was fine but……
