“We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. “Beautiful gardens and pool area. Despite being next to the road it was very peaceful. Good selection at Breakfast. There is only one coffee machine which could lead to queues at peak times. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Close to bus stop 23 and for 3 euros you can get to Skiathos town and the airport. Bus can be very busy at peak times. The walks through the forest to numerous beaches are beautiful. A few good restaurants all within walking distance if you don’t have a car or want……

“We loved our stay here the front desk staff was helpful especially with navigating the bus routes! Our room was beautiful. There was easy access to a very nice beach. There were a couple restaurant options within walking distance on the beach. It’s about at 20 minute walk to old town Skiathos or a quick bus route from stop 5 to stop 0. Breakfast was okay for a breakfast buffet.”

“The beach was further away than what was described and the “road” was not an actual road. The amenities ended up being less than what was listed, there are no washers, no parking, wifi sucks, etc. the pool was not clean, the food remained the same every day. It’s far from the main road. Towels were never changed, sheets never changed, never sweeper or mopped the room and we stayed for a decent time. Depending on the room the appliances did not work which we didn’t find out until everything went……

“The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful . The breakfast and lunch was good, The sun beds were very comfortable, 20€ for 2 beds plus 1 umbrella. Unless you were in the front row when it was 25€. As there was 3 of us no option but to pay for 4 beds ! Hotel situated in an ideal spot, bus stop 5, with an easy was into town on the lower road, Supermarket across the road. I booked a sea view suite which I believed was in the new block but it wasn’t it was in the hotel which was fine but……

“Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town.”
