Beautiful character cottage - comfortable and homely, set in a quiet location in the village.

Beautiful character cottage - comfortable and homely, set in a quiet location in the village. Parking is tight for one car but local car park close by (5 min stroll) cheap at £3:00 per day. The cottage is spacious and the added office & utility room were a bonus as was the shed for all the dogs bits & bobs. Would highly recommend.

The cottage has lots and lots of character and is warm and well equipped.

The cottage has lots and lots of character and is warm and well equipped. I would definitely come back if staying in de Yorkshire Dales again!Being with two couples and a child, it was somewhat inconvenient that the only shower was an ensuite, but we knew that in advance. Parking in front of the house was no problem even with a big car when following the instructions present in the cottage (a permit for the nearby carpark is not provided anymore, so you’ll have to pay for parking your car there). Some minor issues that were also mentioned in previous reviews: not all provided pans work with induction (why not remove those and replace with some additional pans for induction), one of the ovens only works when you’ve set the time (please inform guests about that), some light bulbs need replacement, an initial supply of logs was provided but no matches and kindling.Kettlewell is a nice small village with a small village shop and several restaurants/pubs. The food and atmosphere at the nearby Bluebell Inn was great! (we didn’t go to the other pubs)

Big cottage with lots of character

We had a great stay at Cam Cottage. Loved it and well equipped apart from a lack of things like dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid. I would question why we were asked to check in after 5 and leave by 9am. We arrived in the village at 1.30 so came for a look and could see that the cottage was all ready for our arrival and no one else came to service anything after that point. And leaving by 9am on a sunday morning doesnt leave you many options for what to do next!. That aside we had a gteat time at the cottage and would go back.

Nice enough

To be honest I felt this was pricey for what it was. There seemed to be no hot water in the mornings so I had to fill the bath with the impossibly positioned shower by trying the shower head to the Tao with shoe laces and the bottom oven didn’t work ... those things are not the end of the world but at well over £100 a night I did feel a bit peeved. However nice location and a cute place ...
