Great family accommodation!
This holiday house was perfect for our family of 4, two adults and two teenagers. Location is key here as its walking distance to both YCW beach (5mins) and the patrolled Smiths beach & coffee shop (10mins). 10 mins drive to Cowes for supermarkets and restaurants. It is an older style holiday house, but very well equipped and comfortable furnishings. Has a very homely feel about it. From the moment we drove up the driveway we liked the look of the house, with the private front garden, lovely grassed rear yard, huge upstairs deck and fabulous outdoor shower area. The kitchen was well equipped with all you need for cooking utensils, and some basic staples such as oils, herbs/spices, napkins, salts pepper, bin bags etc provided. The air con worked great and cooled the whole house down if you left the bedroom doors open. Heaps of DVDs and board games provided to entertain kids. The outside deck was a great space and used every night. Awesome webber BBQ and nice couch and large dining setting to sit on and entertain. Great views of the hills from the deck and we even saw a few kangaroos up on the hills. A few minor things we didnt like was the small single bathroom. No fan and the shower cubicle was very small. But the outside shower made up for that as the teens enjoyed showering outside after the beach. Also would have been nice to have ceiling fans in bedrooms and also some wardrobe space in master and second double room. Overall it was great value for money and we would return.
