住宿简介

Log Cabin near Snowshoe | Hot Tub + Mtn Views | 5 Wooded Acres

  • Escape to the Appalachian Mountains and unwind at Altitude Adjustment: a cozy log cabin tucked away on five private acres, just fifteen minutes from Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Whether you’re here for a ski trip or a peaceful mountain getaway, this hilltop haven blends adventure, comfort, and breathtaking views.

OUTSIDE: After a day on the slopes, relax in the hot tub with views of Snowshoe’s Western Territory and the twinkling lights of Snowshoe Village in the distance. Or gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing. The sky here is crystal-clear and unforgettable!

INSIDE: Three king beds span two bedrooms and a spacious loft, with two full bathrooms designed for relaxation. The upstairs suite features a spa-style shower and double vanity, while the primary bedroom opens to a private balcony with sweeping mountain views.

    FULLY EQUIPPED:
Wi-Fi, Roku TVs, and 5G cell service (AT&T & Verizon)
    Fully equipped kitchen
    Coffee K-Cups provided
    Fresh linens and towels included
Hot tub, fire pit, and large front porch for morning coffee or evening wildlife watching

    NEARBY:
    Snowshoe Mountain (15 min)
Watoga State Park – a certified Dark Sky Park (a stargazers dream!)
New River Gorge National Park, Seneca Rocks & White Sulphur Springs and SO much more!

    A few notes:
    1. Winter Weather: 4WD or AWD vehicles are required during winter months.
    2. Summertime notice: Like many cabins in the area, this home does not have central AC. The cooler mountain climate and steady breezes keep things comfortable, even in the summer. Open the windows, enjoy the fresh air, and use the provided fans for extra airflow.
    3. Our cabin is surrounded by the beauty of the forest, which means you may occasionally notice a woodland visitor such as a small insect or field mouse. We take great care in maintaining the property, and these rare encounters are simply a reminder that you’re enjoying an authentic retreat in nature.

Safety & Privacy Notice: Outdoor security cameras are for safety; no indoor cameras.

Whether you’re here to explore, relax, or simply escape, *Altitude Adjustment* offers a truly unforgettable mountain retreat. Book your stay today and experience the perfect combination of adventure, luxury, and tranquility!

The house was exceptional. The kitchen was the best we’ve experienced—stocked and appointed with all the necessary utensils and cookware. Great views. We were greeted with a six point buck right outside the kitchen window and many does.We did not ski during our stay.

We had a very comfortable stay in this well appointed cabin. It's clean and well supplied. We didn't have time to do a fire, but they have a great spot in the front yard. I'd definitely stay there again.

perfectly clean home close to snowshoe

Our family enjoyed our peaceful stay in Slaty Fork during the shoulder season. The home was impeccably clean and appointed. The information packet was jam-packed with useful bits. If we were to come back for skiing or downhill racing, I would stay there–absolutely.

Gorgeous Property

A Beautiful home in the middle of pure nature. Relaxing in that Hot Tub with those amazing views is tough to beat! The home offers everything one ever really needs and Charissa, the Property manager, was very easy to work with and reachable at anytime. IF you're looking for some quiet time, tons of outside/nature activities and a wonderful home, you can't miss out on this one!

Beautiful Cabin

This place was absolutely beautiful. It's very secluded with a huge yard. If you want an off the grid experience but still in luxury style, this is it! The inside was huge but super cozy. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen has about everything you need & more, so we enjoyed many family meals instead of eating out. Being able to relax in the hot tub every night after long days of adventuring was so relaxing. My family & I had an amazing time & I'll definitely be booking this again!

Wonderful Place in a beautiful location

If you want to switch off for a few days, this is your place. Open and airy with three comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, great kitchen and, most importantly, a hot tub with amazing view both day and night time. We take our own food and drink and hardly leave the place for four days. This is our second year and it will be a repeat next year.

Wonderful 20th anniversary

Everything was great, very relaxing, the only improvement I would make is giving spasific house number with directions because once you get in to the neighborhood the navigator doesn't know what location to go to

Wonderful Fall Break Getaway

We very much enjoyed an impromptu stay at Altitude Adjustment. Booking just a couple days before arrival left for little planning, but it definitely was not needed here. We just relaxed, explored the mountain, town, and observatory during the day and relaxed in the hot tub and cozied up on the couch to Halloween movies at night. It was very much a welcomed and lazy trip and there couldn't have been a better set up to do it at. Thank you for being so flexible and easy to work with, Charissa! We would love to return someday!

Great place to stay with amenities

We were pleased with the accuracy of the listing. Pretty much spot on. Amenities in the house allowed us to cook in when we wanted. View outside is outstanding. Hot tub is in great working order and was relaxing to use. Fire pit in great shape and was easy to get up and running. Only two things of mention was the cleanliness of the upstairs shower (hair in drain) and the air conditioning (would not cool to selected temperature, but ultimately not needed by the time we went to bed). Would highly recommend this property to others.

Perfect Location and Property

My girlfriend and I just stayed for 5 nights, and it was the perfect place to get away, switch off from life's stresses and just relax. The location is wonderful, plenty of trees, totally secluded from neighbors, wonderful views of both the scenery and, for us more importantly, the night sky. The lack of radiant light nearby meant you could see the stars so clearly. The place itself is perfect, very well-equipped kitchen, large lounge, very comfortable bedrooms. The only things you need to bring are food, drink and maybe a kettle (LOL, well, we are English!). The balcony off the master bedroom was a bonus, the hot tub was totally secluded and our favorite part, the wooden verandah was perfect for just sitting and taking in the scenery. We were visited by deer every day too; they seem to like the grass outside the back. The owners are very helpful and attentive. Any questions were answered promptly and fully. Overall, this was a perfect place for a wonderful vacation, and we will be returning.

Magnificent

Saw this listing as an ideal booking for Our 31st wedding Anniversary train ride on the nearby Cass Train. This property is truly wonderful, perfectly decorated, extremely well stocked w/ all one could need, and has glorious views and outdoor seating to take in the wildlife and peaceful sounds of nature and songbirds. It’s off the main road and beaten path, which allowed us to unplug from the noise and hustle bustle of everyday life. Our hostess Charissa was extremely helpful, and a delight in hospitality. She was helpful with any questions/ issues and sent us quick responses, including a wonderful guide of all things pertaining to the property. We love the home and enjoyed our opportunity to experience this listing and will definitely include it in our plans for another stay in our future. This area has lots to offer and do, so we do wish we had booked an additional day for us to fit more in, but it gives us an excuse to return soon. We can’t say enough about how well kept and thought out every aspect of this listing was. The only thing we would suggest is a later check out for our stay. 9am is not ideal when you are on vacation, and we almost didn’t book because of the early check out. 10/ 11am would be more appealing for vacationers and old married folks like Us celebrating 3 decacdes of matrimony. Glad we did choose this gem in the mountains. We had a really lovely stay, and appreciate Charissa’s efforts to make our stay and future plans to revisit so positive.
