Stay away (for now) unless you want an insane level of construction noise 9a-7p — pounding, hammering and high pitched drilling you can hear from the room and up and down the halls, even faintly from the lobby. I’ve never encountered this in a hotel and took videos because I was so surprised.
The manager apologized profusely and explained they couldn’t carry out necessary renovations during COVID and offered fruit and wine and waived incidental charges of ~60usd but that’s not much for a nearly $1000 stay considering it’s frankly unlivable. I understand renovations are crucial, so perhaps they could consider closing for the duration.
A real surprise and shame for an otherwise beautiful hotel with excellent and courteous staff. I would’ve extended for two weeks but left for a place in CP after several days.
