Comfortable, spacious and peaceful accommodations, for a family wedding at the Shadowbrook Restaurant. Matt is an attentive host who wants your stay to be the best experience. Soquel Villa is a close drive to amenities. The setting and views are a 10, just gorgeous! Wonderful to wake up to and go to sleep. If relaxation and serenity are your thing then Soquel Villa is your place.

This house and location is absolutely stunning! We have rented many homes globally and this was our favorite. Perfect for a large group/couple of families to relax, all dine together, all hang by the pool, etc... We had such a blast each night in the theatre room singing karaoke (machine not included). Check in was easy and Matt explained all the workings very well. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. House décor and amenities were excellent. Its very secluded up in hills but easy to get to the freeway. Highly recommend :-)

This house was even better than the pictures. We loved our stay here It was like being at our own private resort! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the beds were comfortable and the pool/hot tub were a highlight for the family.

Family Wedding Weekend

We stayed with our kids and grandson and our inlaws this weekend after attending a family wedding. I was perfect as we go to spend quality time just relaxing! The pictures don't do justice to the property.

What a royal experience! Everything about this house is grand and next level. It has everything for everyone… we never left the house. Great kitch for cooking, entertainment by the pool and movie time was experienced by all! Above all the location is what every heart seeks! It truly has it all ❤️

Perfect Oasis on a Hill

Beautiful place for a quiet group that loves to cook, eat, and lounge around. The kitchen was really well appointed for cooking for a group. The pool and poolside was very relaxing with a gorgeous view. The theater was an added treat and the beds were super comfy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Spectacular Property

We held our small business group offsite retreat here. The house provided a unique and beautiful setting for memorable team bonding and motivation. The views from the jacuzzi, infinity pool and yard were awe-inspiring. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained. With ensuite bathrooms it provided the perfect setting for privacy and togetherness. Matt was incredible and made everything so easy! A great experience and we look forward to returning next year!

What a great property overlooking the bay. Quiet place with privacy. Deer in the backyard at night. The pool and spa were great. We really enjoyed the theater and fully used the kitchen and pool table and corn hole. Will definitely stay here again!

Amazing property and host

Our family had a perfect stay. The home has everything you could need and more. The hilltop property and infinity pool/spa provide amazing views. The pool table, home theater, and chef’s kitchen make for a great time for all. Comfortable beds and all rooms with en suite baths spoil every guest in your group. The owner/property manager are super attentive and no need goes unmet. The location is convenient to travelers who want to see not only Santa Cruz, but anywhere from San Fran to San Jose to Monterey to Carmel. It’s a great home base for exploring all the area has to offer. Highly, highly recommend!

Amazing property, secluded but minutes from everything

The property itself is gorgeous, huge and very well cared for. Matt, does an amazing job of keeping it clean and has everything you need. Anything you need or have a question about is dealt with in literally minutes, which was pretty awesome. Pool - great size, epic view. Theater room - awesome, and an experience in itself Bedrooms - beautiful and roomy Kitchen - big and has everything you need Rest of the house - all parts are awesome For sure would rent again.

This place is seriously amazing!

We came here to celebrate a birthday with friends, and had the best time! Our group has stayed in a lot of different rentals over the years, and everyone agreed this was the nicest place we had ever stayed. It was the perfect spot for us because there were so many great communal hangout spots (pool, hot tub, movie theater room, pool table, large dining table, bar, open concept kitchen), but then also everyone had their own bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, so it was the perfect blend of time together and personal space. The house and property are immaculate, the views are incredible, and we were able to use the pool w/ heating when we visited in April. We had everything we needed during our stay, which was great because as soon as we got there, we didn't want to leave. Jay (the property manager) and Matt (the owner) were both super helpful and responsive, and the recommendations we received for the area were also great. Overall, we had a magical time and would love to return again!
