Village house

Lovely townhouse in the centre of Sorede with period furniture which adds to the ambiance. We enjoyed the house and location and Solange was very helpful looking after us.

Lovely return to Sorede

This was the second year we stayed at this property and we enjoyed it too. It is full of charm. Great to have a couple of bicycles too which we used and once again thank you to Solange.

Excellent!

We loved our time here. The apartment is large and comfortable and the terrace is lovely. A great location in Sorede - bakery and convenience store right outside the back gate. The caretaker Solange was wonderful - so thoughtful and gave great recommendations of what to do in the area. We loved hiking right from the apartment and drove 15 minutes to beautiful beaches. We’d love to return!

Sorede

Lovely small village nestled in the mountains, great little resto bar and patisserie just a few steps away. Our place was spacious and well equipped with everything you would need. It’s about a fifteen minute drive to the beach. Definitely a great spot.

Good old France

The four of us found the traditional house comfortable and spacious. It is in a great position for bars, restaurants and other amenities plus visiting the area/region. Bordered by mountains it is a very picturesque small town which easily gives a flavour of France which many find appealing. We parked in the nearby square which worked well in September. Overall a positive experience and good value for money Merci beaucoup Solange et Anne.

Quirky and comfortable

Really lovely property, comfy beds , fabulous quirky and interesting furniture, a little tired in places but this is a homely place that made you feel welcome. Nice garden with sun and shade available all day. Well equipped kitchen , lots of choice of where to eat what you’ve filled the big fridge with. Good hot showers and plentiful hot water. (towels could do with being bigger would be our only negative comment). Beautiful location (in town but quite quiet , near boulangeries, small shop, plus bar and restaurant), perfect for Ceret, Collioure and even Carcassone. Highly recommend for a home from home feel and a relaxed stay away from the crowds of Argeles and the like. Solange is very helpful and welcoming and take her word for it about the local pizza place - superb!

Authentisches ruhiges Stadthaus in Sorede

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Anne‘s Haus sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt im Zentrum des schönen und ruhigen Orts Sorede. Konditorei und kleiner Supermarkt befinden sich direkt um die Ecke. Das Haus erstreckt sich über drei Etagen, genug Platz für 6 Personen. Die Betten sind bequem, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Von Sorede aus ist man innerhalb von 20 min am Mittelmeer, im Gebirge, und Spanien ist auch nicht weit. Vielen Dank auch an Solange, die uns sehr freundlich empfangen hat. Wir haben bei unserer Abfahrt Kopfhörer im Haus vergessen, die sie uns problemlos zugeschickt hat. Vielen Dank, wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub

Séjour trèsn agréable

Nous avons passé deux semaines super agréables dans cette grande maison charmante. Elle est équipée de tout dont on a besoin. En plus, elle est meublée de très beaux meubles ancien et elle possède un grand jardin dont nous avons beaucoup profité. L'accueil par Solange a été très chaleureux, elle nous a donné beaucoup d'informations (elle a même préparé des glacons pour notre premier apéritif!). A cause de la bonne situation géographique, noous avons pu entreprende beaucoup de choses: randonnées (même en Espagne), visites, plage. Nous recommandons fortement cette maison.

Toller Ausgangsort für Familien mit jugendlichen Kindern

Eine Woche bei täglich über 30 Grad Hitze konnten wir in diesem Haus sehr genießen! Morgens frühstückten wir auf der noch schattigen Terrasse mit frischen Croissants aus der Bäckerei direkt um die Ecke und beobachteten die Schwalben beim Füttern ihrer Jungen. Anschließend brachen wir entweder zum Strand (20 min. Fahrt) oder in die Pyrenäen zum Canyoning oder Rafting auf, um uns abzukühlen, und kochten abends wieder zuhause in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche. Sorède war der für uns (die Kinder waren 16, 14 und 12 Jahre alt) ideale Ausgangsort, so dass alle unterschiedlichen Interessen berücksichtigt werden konnten. Wir hätten auch Kultur, Festivals, Strandpartys usw. erleben können, wenn wir mehr Zeit gehabt hätten. Sorède ist zwar nur ein kleineres Dorf, hat aber selbst einiges zu bieten oder man fährt in die Nachbarorte. Das Haus selber hatte mit seinen vielen Zimmern genug Platz, um sich zurückzuziehen und war komfortabel ausgestattet, was Küche, Spiele, Geschirr, Grill usw. anging. Wir überlegen auf jeden Fall noch einmal wiederzukommen und können das Haus unbedingt weiterempfehlen! Ein herzlicher Dank nochmal an die tolle und sehr freundliche Betreuung durch Solange, die uns empfangen und verabschiedet hat und jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung stand!

En vacances dans cette maison atypique avec ma famille,nous avons apprécier le confort de cette maison le parc et les commerces juste à côté. Nous avons put profiter de la terrasse pour les repas .Seul petit inconvénient les marchés pour accéder aux chambres.L accueil de Solange et convivial.Bref un séjour très agréable

Service client problématique

Séjour du 2 au 7 octobre 2023 Nous avons terminé notre voyage en France à Sorède. Après avoir passé un séjour très agréable dans trois autres maisons et 2 hôtels sans souci, nous avons rencontré un désagrément lors du séjour à Sorède. Non pas que la maison n’était pas confortable, le jardin attirant, la situation agréable dans un petit village pittoresque français au milieu des Pyrénées Orientales. Sans oublier les villes et villages côtiers avec leurs ports, plages et restaurants. De même, nous avons été accueillis positivement par la dame qui servait d’intermédiaire entre nous et la propriétaire à notre arrivée le 2 octobre. Le seul bémol fut au niveau du service à la clientèle; le 4 octobre nous avons fait la demande d’un article anodin qui semblait manqué. Madame nous a informés de l’endroit où le trouver mais nous n’avons pas apprécié la remarque qu’elle nous a faite à ce propos et nous lui en avons fait part. Deux jours plus tard, elle nous a contacté à plusieurs reprises pour critiquer notre demande et notre attitude. Cela a rendu notre séjour moins agréable et nous le regrettons. Le service à la clientèle a été un point d’honneur dans tous les endroits de notre voyage, sauf dans cette maison de Sorède; il faudrait certes améliorer la situation sans quoi je ne recommanderais pas un séjour en ces lieux. Grande Maison d'époque agréable à vivre

L'accueil par Solange est très sympathique. C'est une grande maison "dans son jus" avec une disposition atypique, mais agréable à vivre. On arrive dans l'entrée où se trouve la première SDB avec douche et WC. On monte un grand escalier en marbre et on arrive aux pièces de vie (cuisine, salle à manger, salon, bureau. Pour aller à l'étage un escalier en bois un peu difficile, on réfléchi bien à ce qu'on à besoin de prendre quand on va à l'étage pour ne pas monter 50 fois. A l'étage 4 chambres : 2 chambres avec un lit 2 personnes 1 chambre avec 2 lits 1 personne 1 chambre avec un lit 1 personne et 1 lit 2 personnes. Une SDB avec baignoire Un WC séparé. Avec la chaleur les ventilateurs dans toutes les chambres et salon étaient très agréables. Par contre ATTENTION aux Moustiques, un vrai calvaire, donc bien s'équiper de prises anti moustiques et autres produits pour profiter de l'extérieur. La terrasse est très agréable, l'été jusqu'à 11h00 et à partir de 18h00 car plein sud. La présence d'un barbecue est super. La maison est très bien équipée. Il y a même quelques denrées alimentaires et aide à la cuisine pour démarrer le séjour, des produits pour faire le ménage de fin de séjour. Certains sièges sont un peu vétustes et demanderaient à être réparés ou changés (sièges salon). Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine à 2 familles, sans se marcher dessus.

Needs an update!!

Village is wonderful with 2 boulangeries and grocery store 2 minutes walk from the house. A few restaurants in the main square added to the charm. It’s also very close to many other pretty villages and the beach towns. However the overall state of the property is tired. The beds were not made up upon arrival. The bedding and towels provided were old, threadbare and stained in parts!! The upstairs bath/shower required agility !! The bicycles provided had flat tires and when a pump was provided, it didn’t work. Unfortunately the house did not provide a level of ease or comfort that was expected.
