Beach hotel with a GREAT location!

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. We used this as our central location to not only spend time in Sorrento but also to head out to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi Coast, Capri and Naples. A simple breakfast is included! I can't say enough about the staff of the hotel as they made our stay! They were very friendly and spoke English very well! The rooms were clean with the basic necessities but you definitely stay in this hotel for the stunning view from the balcony overlooking the Sea of Naples, Vesuvius, Sorrento and Marina Grande. We were able to navigate the area by walking, trains, ferries and tour buses without an issue. No need to rent a car.

The view was spectacular, everything you wanted to wish for. It was very quiet and peaceful to sleep and relax during the day. The hotel needs a lot of upgrade. Wish they had gym room.

Best thing is the location, with excellent views over Sorrento. Also the staff are very helpful and booked tours through them with pick up and drop off at Hotel, which made is so convenient. Rooms Ok, not large in a family room for 4, but worked out fine. Continental breakfast good, and nice view.

Reading reviews is highly recommended. In this case, I knew what to expect. The view is AMAZING! That's what you are paying for here. If you are expecting much any where else, then you'll be disappointed. I knew that the breakfast would be the same every morning. I knew the rooms were a bit run down. And I knew the towels were super thin. But at the end of the day, I just needed a place to rest when needed. I wasn't staying a long time in my room. The towels worked for me because it got the job done. So if you book this place and expect a 5 star hotel, you won't get it, but the staff are really nice. You come here for the view. Seriously, so don't complain about the place because you should know what you're getting yourself into. I enjoyed it and I would come back. The view is what won me over. Not the facilities. And the walk into town is not that bad at all. It's about 5-7 minutes, no stairs just a slight hill. I never took the bus once. Great location.

Fabulous view, which we enjoyed every minute on our private terrace. Very nice staff, very helpful. Good parking, important to us. Wish there were cooked food available for breakfast, such as scrambled eggs, and real croissants! Room comfortable, and that view! Every hotel should, in my opinion, provide Kleenex tissues, washcloths, and a bottle of water or two as a "welcome gift." This is not just Settimo Cielo, but we found these items lacking in many hotels along the way. This is our second stay at Settimo Cielo and we will be back! We felt welcomed and appreciated the friendliness of staff.

Great for adults and adults with older kids we went with our 3 and 5 year old and the walk to the town is pretty sketchy very small walkway couldn't fit a double stroller. Staff was great room was clean great views total Italian hotel. I would stay again with my lady but not with young kids due to the walk to town.

unbelievable view

On the advice of our travel guide, Giovanni Guidone of TopexcursionSorrento, we booked this hotel for 4 nights. Great decision and choice! Private balconies with seating and a table, overlooking the water and Mt Vesuvius. Breathtaking at night! Great pool for lounging and walking distance to great restaurants and Sorrento city center. Excellent, helpful staff too!

Fantastiskt läge! Sängar hårda som cement, mycket lyhört då vi hörde grannens konversation 3 tidiga mornar, dom kunde lika gärna ha stått i vårt rum och pratat! Förväntar sig att ett 3 stjärnigt hotel åtminstone ska ha gosiga frottéhanddukar och inte typ kökshanddukar att torka sig med. Inga toalettprodukter förutom tvål och duschgele i en engångsförpackning. Frukosten var inte heller någon höjdare, torrt bröd och inte en grönsak. Gott kaffe att beställa i baren. Svårt att förstå att detta hotell har fått 3 stjärnor.

Good views of the Bay of Naples

The hotel has a great location high on the cliffside. However the walk down to the local beach is a good 1.8Km and to the town centre about 1.5km. Rooms were basic without fridge or coffee/tea making facilities. Air conditioning was excelkent. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a let down with awful coffee and only basic selection of continental fare.

Expensive, not comfortable, great view

Outstanding view, great pool and good location But the bed is terrible is not even a normal mattress. I need to go to a quiropractor because of sleeping in that bed (worse than sleeping on the floor) not exagerating The room feels like you are camping, prehistoric shower curtain with mold, and you don’t feel confortable, way too expensive for what you receive If you go with a large family could be a better value since the room has one full and two single beds (even if you don’t ask for it) It could be great with an entire renovation since the location and view is very good, but is really uncomfortable and they don’t seem to care at all, there is no love in this hotel

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, breathtaking views

The best part of this hotel without a doubt is the view from the pool area and the balcony, I could sit there all day watching the port. The hotel has a good location about 10/15 minute walk for the centre of town and about 25 minutes to the port. The staff are super friendly and always went above and beyond to help, breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. The beds are a little hard but I slept comfortably and through the night all holiday with no problem and although the towels are a little strange they do the job of drying you and are very easy to put up with for a week. Highly recommend.

This hotel was amazing! The view was beautiful, you can see Mt Vesuvio from any spot you sit at! The service was great, the staff very friendly!!!! I would definitely recommend to stay here and close to walk down the hill to get something to eat, snack on or just a drink. the views are amazing!!!
