"Shell Island Resort is very appealing from the outside, and has a fabulous location right on Wrightsville Beach. The indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, restaurant, & Tiki Bar are also great amenities. Unfortunately, the upkeep of the resort is not well-maintained. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed the broken balcony furniture, a dirty floor, and a broken headboard on our bed. Additionally, the hot tub by the outdoor pool was broken, and when asked, the staff had no idea when it would be repaired. Both the Tiki Bar and the on-site restaurant had odd operating hours. If the upkeep of the hotel improves, we would consider returning for another visit."

"We rented the downstairs of 545 Lumina. When we pulled in alittle worried as the outside was dated and the downstairs window showed all kinds of misc stuff piled in a room. However when we got inside the condo was lovely and renovated beautifully.Beds listed as queen are really double but comfortable.The decks facing the ocean were lovely but we had to use almost a whole box of wipes to clean the chairs and tables. Pictures available if needed. The downstairs outside are near shower was filthy. I.cleaned the whole area and hosed down the floor. There was a leaf blower left in middle of walkway.like someome stop right where they were and left. I would have used it to clean some more but no cord.Having people above you in non.sound proof is tough and upstairs was split into 2 rentals. All this being said being able to walk out 100 steps and be on.a.beautiful sandy beach waa glorious. This is a great.spot just need some housecleaning improvements."

"We absolutely loved our trip and stay at Sandpeddler Inn & Suites. The location is phenomenal with a short 30 yard or so walk before your feet hit the sand. Our balcony had a view of the Ocean and it was very peaceful! The staff was helpful when needed but not overbearing. They addressed my needs when asked but didn’t bother us otherwise which was very much appreciated. This was a peaceful and serene trip and I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Ocean fun and a calm relaxing getaway!"

"The main restaurant served me a raw hamburger. The next day the downstairs each bites got our order completely wrong. The annoying thing was if you wanted to use one of the hotels beach umbrellas you had to pay for them. At the price the hotel charges you they should be free. Definitely have to go off site to find decent food."

"Let me start out by saying this place is very nice, beautiful landscape, love the pool bar, and the views of ocean and intercoastal waterway is Amazing!!! We have been coming here since it was Blockade Runner and have always had a great experience. The only complaint I have is that the past three visits in the prime vacation time we get a text as soon as we get there stating the pool is closed for maintenance!! To me that is unexcusable for the prices they charge and that is one of the things they advertise, for us my family we are all adults so we went to the ocean but for families that have very small kids and several kids, what a disappointment that is when you are looking forward to enjoying that and it was still closed when we left each time, I don't know what the issue is but they need to spend the money to get it fixed instead of just doing a quick fix."
