A special thank you to Isuru from the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. He helped me choose the right Sri Lankan option at breakfast...it was fantastic and a lot of food...all superbly cooked by the chefs. "Such a lovely hotel, situated on a quiet, beautiful beach. All staff here and at the sister hotel a short walk away were amazing, with a special mention to Rosin and Nedmina (sorry I couldn’t quite remember your full name!) We loved being able to swim in the sea just outside and walking along the beach. A great, comfortable base for exploring the South Coast. Lovely food too-eating on the beach was a real treat!"

Beautifully designed, well maintained, with very good restaurants (that appeal to western travelers if they prefer non Sri Lankan food), the staff is friendly and supportive. I highly recommend the spa that is part of a small network of balinese facilities in Sri Lanka. The pool and beach integration is very good with miles of walkable sand in each direction. The sea itself in March was pretty dangerous so I focused on the very nice pool. I highly recommend...
