“This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable.”

“Staff was in a rush, a bit sharp in conversation. No "drink upon arrival" as advertised. They didn't provide a robe/ person. We were short one robe, despite having to enter the hall to access the bathroom. No hair conditioner offered. The breakfast was pretty normal weekend fare (scrambled eggs with cheese, French toast with sandwich-sized bread), fresh fruit cup. No extra food offered on table.”

“We had such a great experience at this stay. From how communicative the host is to feasibility of check in/out, the stay was stress free and accommodating. The host provided concise instructions, great hospitality and timely responses to questions which made this trip that more enjoyable. Everything was very well put together in the stay, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. I’d highly recommend this stay and will definitely rebook with the host in the future!”

“Andre was super friendly and welcoming! We ended up booking this super last minute because of a family funeral that we had to attend, and it ended up being an awesome spot. The rental was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The reclining sofa and chairs were so comfy. There was a ton of cool artwork throughout the inside of the house. I'm shocked that no one mentioned in previous reviews that there is a koi pond in the front yard!! If the weather hadn't been so drizzly and we were……

“Overall very clean room, great stay for the price. It was a bit farther from Metro station (NoMA) than I anticipated, 1.1 miles, if you plan to use subway. The host was friendly and communicated well, also left water and essential items, which was appreciated. ”

“With a few modifications this place would be rated as excellent. These have been mentioned in earlier reviews: shower curtain should be replaced, step stool to reach microwave, hooks for bathroom towels needed, and etc. The location was perfect for us, lots of towels supplied, coffee available. Cozy place!We enjoyed our stay.”
