“The building is old (!), so the rooms are high ceiling and large. The decoration is highly original and eclectic. Our room was ready on time and well appointed and clean and comfortable. We dined in on our first night. The meal wassail good and tasty, although there was a limited menu not he night. “You could ask nothing more from a moderately priced hotel. Lovely traditional room, nice pub food, bar, good shower. Went above and beyond at breakfast time. Beautiful location!”

“The Ship is in a quiet country lane 2 minutes from a fabulous beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was really lovely, the bed so comfortable and ours had a beautiful view across the fields. We had dinner which was delicious too. A really peaceful place to stay.”

“Our third stay at the Old Ram and, as before, we found the staff friendly and welcoming. The meals we had in the restaurant were delicious and the staff were attentive to our needs. The Old Ram is an ideal place to stay for a visit to Norwich and the surrounding area.”

“Hotel is older style, with large room. I was particularly impressed with the modernisation of the ensuite and very modern techno shower. Good size enclosed walk in shower and decent water temperature. I dined as a party of 8 in the bar area, food was very good and decent choice on the menu. Staff very helpful and made lockable arrangements for my cycle overnight. I took advantage of the 6.30am breakfast start which was excellent and good choice on the menu. No real downside experienced.”

“In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle.
