This place was great! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 days and had a blast. The only thing we wish there would have been was some sort of picnic table for outdoor seating. Otherwise, great and clean place to stay!

What an adorable property! We arrived late evening but check in was a breeze and I couldn’t stop carrying on about how cute this small space was. Great for singles or couples. A short walk to Black Hills State University where we watched our boys run track. My favorite thing about Spearfish has got to be the rec walking paths. I got up early every morning and hit the path, which runs along the Spearfish Creek. Really lovely parks and surrounding areas. We walked to local restaurants (Dough Trader Pizza was a fave) and walked to Green Bean Coffee every morning as well. Of course, we had a visit to Mt. Rushmore - we were in absolute awe! Also spent time at the fish hatchery which was very educational, and took some time to drive the Spearfish Canyon. Highly recommend staying here as it’s so nice to unwind in a little cottage rather than having to retreat to a hotel room.

The cottage is So Cute and the only Bad feature is your Television system!! It is almost Impossible to Operate!!

Orchard Creek Cottages were very clean & a cozy place to relax at the end of the day. The bed was super comfy, would’ve appreciated a small dresser or some place to unpack clothes for the trip. While the bathroom was small the shower was good sized & had a good shower head. Their complementary shampoo/conditioner/body wash was good & I ended up using it instead of my own that I had brought with. Would’ve appreciated more than one set of towels though. Kitchen had the essentials. We really only ended eating at the cottage once, so we didn’t utilize it much outside of the Kurig. Living room was good sized but the couch was not exactly comfortable, it was pretty hard. TV had excellent selection with Hulu, Netflix, ect & the wifi was good. The grounds were nice, very clean, hot tub area was super cute! Would’ve appreciated a little fire pit or a grill area though. A fenced in little dog park area would be a great addition. The pizza place near by was excellent! We ended up ordering the beat & goat cheese salad again the next day to have with our grilled steaks. Spearfish was a great place to stay to enjoy the Northern Black Hills.

This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. Easy check in, felt safe traveling alone, super cute cottage. Definitely recommend!
