“This home was so well maintained. I love the little things like having everything labeled and instructions for the heating and cooling system. We also appreciated the quality of the kitchen/cooking tools (pots/pans etc.) and the mattress. This house lacked absolutely nothing! The owner kept great contact with us. “The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was exceptionally private. My husband and I stayed four nights, mainly as an opportunity to relax, reset and enjoy each other, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This was the PERFECT setting as it is nestled in a serene landscape of trees, water and nature. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy architecture of the log cabin, and picturesque view of Lake Galena on the large covered deck (that has a hot tub!). The location was close……

It’s super-clean, with character and an historical ambience. We found so much to do in the Galena area, including nearby towns and the Galena River Trail. Coming “home” each evening to this cozy place was a comforting feeling after each very active day. My son, who has a developmental disability due to childhood stroke,……

“We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back……

“Overall it was fabulous! Only drawback was we had a issue with a toilet and notified the owner who responded promptly, yet the maintenance was not able to enter the property because we were out enjoying ourselves, not leaving our key in the lockbox. A suggestion would be that the maintenance/owner have access to another key besides what is given to their guests…..and if so would have rated all 5 stars.”

“We loved the condo for our Family's Bachelorette Weekend! Bedroom perfect for 7 girls and 3 full bathrooms. Big dining room table for us to play games at night. Good price for what we got. Had everything we needed. Perfect Location - one block from Main Street where tons of restaurants and shopping. We loved our stay. Highly recommended and we will come back and stay again!!!”

“My 2 daughters and I stayed here for a weekend trip to Galena. It was perfect for us—quiet, peaceful, beautiful surroundings, clean, well equipped, easy access to Galena and other places. Very comfortable.”

“Beds were great, we all slept great. Very quite location, small ant problem and lower level tub could use a better cleaning. It may have not been rented for a while, there was dead bugs in tub and on floors. A review awhile back said that the coffee maker took forever to brew, I would agree that it needs a new one. But overall great stay.”

“This place was very nice and cozy. We had a little mix up when we first arrived but the owner and cleaning lady were really nice and great and got things taken care of right away which we appreciated. The trails are super close and we took our dogs on lots of walks. The location was very close to the golf resort if you’re a golfer and just to drive around the scenery was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We had a great stay at Linen and Stone Inn. Easy checking in , very comfortable room and walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Downtown Galena. The common areas were very comfortable. The manager was very attentive. We enjoyed our stay”
