Walk through the door and feel the stress slide from your shoulders. This house was made for getting away from it all. Whether it’s a reunion of friends, a family gathering, or just a quiet weekend away, you have found your home away from home. Abundant windows and a spacious deck provide spectacular panoramic mountain views with a 25-mile horizon. As the sun sets, all your troubles fade away.

You can find the best of the Vermont experience within a half-hour radius. In winter, ski Okemo (19 miles away)…enjoy a sleigh ride from Kedron Valley Stables…go ice skating or cross-country skiing in Woodstock…snow shoe around the 16-acre property.

In summer, hike or drive up Mt. Ascutney…pick your own fruit at Wellwood Orchards…enjoy a carriage ride from Kedron Valley Stables…catch a show at the Weston Playhouse … tour the Path of Life Garden. Or travel a little further afield to the adventure parks at Bromley Mountain, the Ben & Jerry’s factory, Hanover, or Burlington.

Another wonderful Thanksgiving

This house is walking distance to where we always have Thanksgiving dinner, and if feels like home now. The games were a treat for my 7 year-old grandson, kept him out of the preoccupation with screens. I love the trees and the view. The kitchen has everything I needed.After two years in an apartment, I really appreciate the real fireplace. I miss the pictures on the walls which have been there in previous years, but that is minor, compared to the pleasure I feel staying here. I am so grateful.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this house. It's super clean, not too far from Okemo (30 min) and about an hour drive to Mt snow. Basement had a mini pool and a Foosball table that kids enjoyed. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked.

Sunsets and Star Gazing

Our group agreed that we could not have picked a more beautiful location for our Vermont leaf peeping. The drive up to the house revealed a spectacular view and attractive home. As others have noted (and since everyone in our group was over 65) we will also note that there were missing pavers in the steps up to the house. After long days exploring Vermont's back roads we looked forward to getting back to the house and gathering on the deck for sunset, a glass of wine, and later, star gazing. So relaxing and beautiful.

The house has great architectural charm, and has wonderful views and cozy seating to enjoy them from. It was adequately stocked, and there were no issues at all with the stay. It was a little farther than advertised from Okemo, which was a little disappointing, and there were a few electrical idiosyncrasies, but a very good value, and overall we really enjoyed our stay :)

Comfortable house with spectacular mountain views!

The house was spacious with a great layout and nice deck with a gorgeous view of the mountains. We were a family of 4 and there was enough space; had we been 2 families the huge basement for extra sleeping space works out. Drive to Okemo is half hour; 1 hour to Killington. The hosts were responsive and helpful and had a caretaker/neighbor who helped us with a locked door. I would highly recommend!

I just wanted to thank the owners for sharing this house with us, my family and i rented this house for my kids winter break so we can go sky and I'm glad that i choose this house its so beautiful, spacious and the location is amazing you can seat at the couch and enjoy the sunset, the view from the deck its incredible its very private house i would love to stay again.
