We were coming down to Springfield to meet some people and give them some of their sisters stuff that passed away. So it started out as a not so fun trip. I was happy to find this hidden gem. It was much better then staying in a smelly hotel and having to deal with loud neighbors with the benefit of a full kitchen and a place to do laundry. I love the fact of the alarm system, it gave us some security in an unfamiliar town. I will have to say that we got many chuckles from the Shark vacuum. I have a lot of pain in my legs, so it was great to see we could start that and it would pick up stuff off the hardwood floors. It really cut down on my pain, plus by the end of the trip we named it the unruly toddler. It got this name because it would rearrange furniture, get caught under stuff and always went straight to cords and places it shouldn't be, but for us that helped us lighten the mood and gave us a few chuckles. The bed and sofa are definitely firm, so for me i just grabbed a pillow and i was good. They had pots and pans for our use and a dishwasher and laundry room was a plus for our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. We loved having our own driveway so we didnt have to park on the street. I loved the low rumble of the train from time to time, reminded me of a place i used to live, but it was not so loud that it was a problem. The owners were amazing when we couldn't find stuff, they are quick to answer and very understanding. This was our first House rental and we hope they all go this smoothly. It is a good location to go to many places, I think our longest drive was about 20 minutes with traffic to the south side of town, and then about 45 min to Branson. There are also a lot of food options close by if you don't feel like cooking. We were able to get to the 66 car museum, Fantastic Caverns, Bass pro Aquarium (it was bigger then we expected) and a few other things. Only thing we missed out on was the castle because they have a 4 person minimum. I almost forgot, We loved the red door and old fashion porch, it helped us find it easier on the street. I saw in the sign in book they have, that they have done some remodels. I love the ceilings in the living room and window up high had a pretty picture. It looks like it was a really old house that was redone with care.
