“Such a nice place, even better than the pics. Love the cabin theme decor, beautifully decorated. Lots of room inside and out for a family to spread out. Thanks for keeping the kitchen well-stocked and leaving condiments/spices and kitchen supplies; we enjoyed cooking and preparing multiple meals. We were lucky to have perfect weather and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the mountain views and fire pit. We weren't expecting such nice weather; I wish we had brought cornhole/outdoor games.……

“This property is spectacular with lots of green space for the kids to run around and play, a stream running through the property where the kids spent hours hunting for crawfish and salamander and a stocked pond for fishing. (We were there in the very early spring, so the pond water level was down and no fish due to it not being stocked yet for the season) The home itself was very cozy and had plenty of space for our 2 families of 4. “We came from Austin to celebrate our first anniversary, and the little log cabin was absolutely perfect! We felt secluded, but not isolated. The view of the mountains is stunning! The cabin is newly updated, fully stocked, and oh so cozy. We picked up some groceries in Blocking Rock on our way, so we wouldn’t have to go anywhere for food. Hundreds of hiking trails surround the cabin, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just a few minutes away. I would go back in a heartbeat!”

“Everything you need is there! Bed was comfortable, WiFi was dependable, close enough to get what you need for supplies. Cabin was clean and cozy, we had warm weather for the first 2 days and then the cold front came in and it was spitting snow when we left. Would recommend this place and would stay here again.”

“This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin.”

“Had a great family Thanksgiving! The house was perfect for us. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed to prepare dinner! Plenty of space for our family if all ages to spread out. The hot tub was a huge hit! The views were just gorgeous. The Christmas tree was a nice touch and made the weekend more festive! Would definitely stay there again!”

“My wife, kids, and I had the best time! Everything was perfect. Our host was so helpful, quick to respond and very accommodating. The cabin was very clean and in a wonderful central location. The kids has a blast roasting marshmallows, and the hot tub was clean and worked perfectly! The kids were already asking when we were coming back as we left.”

“My wife & I loved this cozy little cabin! It was perfect for us. It's over 100 years but you can tell it's been kept with love! We loved the rustic feel and floors. The home was clean and I loved the back porch area. I sat out there for hours just staring at the lake & mountain view. The gas station is in walking distance and there is a dollar general about 3 miles away for a quick store run. Getting to Boone is only a 10 minute drive. But most of time was spent in the cabin and we loved every……

“We enjoyed our stay. It was very nice to be so close to Black Mountain, one of our favorite towns. The hot tub was nice, but might want to check the chemical levels. Just a few minutes in and we were both itching, maybe the chlorine was too high. It's probably time to upgrade the couch and chair in the living room area. The leather or vinyl is peeling and the support system is sinking a bit. The place also really needs a deep clean. We have 3 pets ourselves, which we did not bring with us, so……

“We had a great stay at this cute little cabin for our recent ski trip to Sugar Mountain. It is in the perfect location just 15 min to the mountain and 15 min to Boone. House was very clean and had everything we needed - even a dog food and water bowl for our pup. Enjoyed having the small park area for the pup and kids to run. Loved the retro 70s decor of the cabin - so fun! Great and easy check in and out and prompt communication from the owner. Great place!”

“This is a beautiful spot, and you won't regret staying here. The cabin was perfect for our family + dog, and the river is just amazing. We enjoyed the kayaks, hikes, and relaxation on the deck overlooking the water. Our dog will never forgive us for taking him back home - this was a slice of heaven for him!”

“Overall it was a decent stay. The cabin was very very clean. The fireplace was nice, with plenty of firewood, and it had a pretty comfy living space. The loft was nice, though I personally felt a little bit uncomfortable with how easily people or neighbors could see right into the upstairs at night from outside by looking through the loft windows. Everything worked well, though the oven smoked up terribly when preheating it, to the point of setting off the smoke detector. I made sure the manager……

“Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!”
