Welcome to Pelican's Beach Retreat! This newly built 8 bedroom, 5 bath home located one street back from the beach is ready for rental! Take in the sweeping views while sipping coffee and watching the sunrise over the ocean in the morning! Over 1200 square feet of outdoor living on large paver patio surrounding the pool and two outdoor decks! There is plenty of seating in the pool area on our built-in stone benches that wrap around the entire deck.
We have built this luxurious coastal style 4600 square foot home for large groups of families and friends traveling together and we have thought of your every vacation need! Outside you will find plenty of deck to sunbathe, loungers to relax on, a spacious 15x30 pool and a pergola to sit under while enjoy a poolside meal!
For convenience the house offers 8 bedrooms all with King beds and 5 bathrooms, two with double vanities. There is an additional heated shower that is poolside. Comfortable mattresses, tiled showers, granite vanities and TV’s in most bedrooms make these rooms ideal! The setup is perfect. There are two bedrooms on the first floor AND two living areas with a kitchen and a poolside kitchenette. The second floor has five bedrooms, and the 8th bedroom is on the 3rd floor along with the main kitchen and living area and an additional bath. With three kitchens and living areas your family will have plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy their vacation meals!
This large 8 bedroom house is located at the end of a quiet street with no through traffic. It is located less than one minute walk to the beach in the heart of Butler Beach in St. Augustine. Wonderful neighborhood with quick access to shops and restaurants. The house sits on top of one of the highest dunes in Butler Beach, providing for sweeping treetop and ocean views of the entire area from the third floor! The house is on a dune and the driveway is steep. Please ask us if you need more info.
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.
Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 minutes north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! You will want to return year after year!
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.

Garage is not available to guests. Our handyman might stop by if he needs tools or other items from the garage without notice. He will not access the house at any time without prior permission from guests, just the garage only.
