“We had a great stay! My wife was really impressed with the property and all that was to offer. We arrived early and we made use of the leisure facilities that were on the property. We had requested a crib for our son and this was in our lodge. We had also had to reschedule our dinner reservation and this was done without any issues. We were a little disheartened with the limited menu however we found something that we liked. We would love to see more vegetarian/halal options. Also I……

“Stayed in one of their garden pods, was quite spacious for a pod I’ve stayed in smaller ones. They’re well appointed with everything you need. A nice quiet stay and the food in the restaurant was really good too.”

“Beautifully renovated main dining area and bar. Lovely food and drink. Unfortunately seemed a bit short-staffed the evening we dined and service was quite slow. Ran out of orange juice both mornings for breakfast. Room comfortable and spacious-quirks included non-functional telephone and safe. Would return and recommend to others. Perhaps just a bit more attention to detail (dead plants in hanging basket outside lodge rooms) for a 5-star rating.”

“We stayed in a hillside chalet for two nights with our little dog. The chalet had perfect views of the lake and it felt very private. You could hear the birds singing and we even saw a red squirrel right outside our window. The chalet has a rustic feel, with a very comfortable king sized bed, bathroom, and a handy fridge. There is a railway path just behind the lodges for convenient dog walks with lovely views. Excellent continental breakfast with a good choice of cereal, fruit, ham, cheese,……

“We had to arrive after hours. We contacted the property and advised them of this and they made arrangements for us to get the keys after the office was closed. Though there was a slight smell in the hall on the way to the room, the room itself was very clean and there was no smell. They had even left some treats in the room for us which was a very nice touch after a long day on the train. The room was well decorated and very welcoming, which was exactly what we needed after our long……
