We arrived at 9pm, informed that power would be out from 11pm to 5am with a note on the door (have a picture of that). We drove 5 hrs to the location to not receive a phone call or text to inform us about the power. I called the number to who ever is in charge of the property . You can understand the consumers frustration to the inconvenience. So I was trying to get some resolution to the problem, whether it be compensation or a simple sorry and this is what we can do for you . Instead I was accused of yelling, which did not happen. This person had the nerve to say “well when the power goes out she isn’t compensated.” Excuse me I not concern with your housing but a property that as a consumer I paid for . She still wouldn’t budge, she then said “well you aren’t staying there for free.” That is not what I was aiming at. All I was aiming for was communication that was kind and notice so I had the autonomy to find somewhere else to stay. But instead this person hung up on me and did not answer Expedia calls to rectify this situation. I wasn’t going to stay in this place because of the experience and the place was dirty (we have pictures). We left with other plans last minute driving through Zion at 11 pm at night with deers everywhere. Gets better, I called the power company to see when the notice was given to this property, the notice was given 6 days ago. So instead of giving people the autonomy to choose she chose to be greedy and rude to all the consumers that night.
