"WOULD RETURN! The cottage is clean, accommodating, has access to outdoors with a great view, and is private. The bedrooms are nicely sized and AC keeps the entire place cool. Nice size TV for downtime too. EVERYTHING is a short walk - groceries, coffee, food/drink, beach, hiking trails, ferries/taxis. SEPARATE FROM LOCATION NOTE: The walk to and from cottage to everything is a hill. There are not sidewalks for part of trip. We managed fine with our 2 kids, but can be tricky during busy traffic...

Villa Island Paradise

10/10 Excellent

"This villa is in an excellent location, few minute walk to the old town and restaurants, grocery store, etc. Given the challenges finding parking downtown on St. John, that was a huge plus. A few minute walk down to the market as well. My wife loves that our unit is very clean and quality furniture including bed and linens. Well stocked kitchen with adequate dishes and cookware for family. AC and fans were great quality. The patios and balconies are very large making it enjoyable to be outside to enjoy the views. A really nice plus was that each unit had beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and snorkeling gear available for use at no charge. Very easy to send messages to the host and management for any issues. We decided to extend 2 times here and on the 2nd the host rearranged another unit with an early check in so that we could move our food and other goods easily."

"To be honest, this was my first time ever going to St. John’s, so I was expecting a lot more than what I experienced. I have family that lives in Hawaii so I’ve been to Hawaii plenty of times I’ve been in resorts that were absolutely beautiful and I was kind of expecting the same when I got the St. John’s, but to my surprise that was not the case. The beaches in St. John were absolutely beautiful probably some of the best that I’ve ever been to in my 60 years, but the town itself to me is in shambles. I felt like I was visiting some Third World country. The cruise Bay Hotel definitely served us right. The staff was wonderful and the amenities were awesome , our room was very clean…. I was just expecting a town with beautiful resorts and awesome restaurants and that wasn’t the case … we still had a great time, just wasn’t what we were expecting when it came to appearance and upkeep…. I’m just being honest, not trying to make anyone upset"

The Westin St. John Resort Villas

"We didn't spend a lot of time on the resort (mostly at beaches around the island), but it was a great resort. It was nice to come back after a long beach day and relax in the pool before changing and catching a taxi to dinner. The taxis hangout on property, making it easy to catch a ride into town for dinner (Morgan's Mango and The Banana Deck were our favorites)."

"The staff was very nice and friendly. They were helpful getting checked in and knowledgeable about the area. The bar has a pool side and dry side, which was really cool. They have several hot tubs, two pools, and a cold plunge tub. The restaurant on site was amazing, the view and the food were top notch! The sunsets are beautiful. There are peacocks that roam the area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It has air conditioning and a ceiling fan to keep it cool. The balcony/porch also had a great view of the bay. The only negative was there wasn't always hot water in the room for the shower. They said they are working on that issue."

Wharfside Village Hotel

"The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room was first class. It was clean, had great amenities, and the view was beyond words. It could not be more convenient to everything in Cruz Bay. The staff was 5 star by any standard. The only bad thing was that I had to leave and go back to work the next day."

"Our stay here was absolutely amazing! You can’t beat the location and the villa was perfect for my husband and I. Don was so accommodating and gave us great recommendations as far as restaurants and beaches. We will definitely be going back but not soon enough."
