We booked a private room that came with our own bathroom (with shower and toilet) and our own air conditioning unit. A cleaning crew cleaned our room every day, so it was very clean. The rooftop bar was very enjoyable and had a good vibe.

The location and the Hostel itself are great but especially the really friendly staff and the rooftop bar with the amazing bartenders makes it worth staying there. Through the many events happening at the bar you get to know a lot of people and can connect around the world with attending the english Cafe malta.

The key system and the showers reflect the hostel was designed by someone who travelled a lot. You have your own key opening the hostel, the room and your own locker. Amazing. In the shower you have a specific curtain to protect your things. Very good idea. Hostel is a bit old in furniture but definitely good choice.

Great hostel in the heart of St. Julian's. I thoroughly enjoyed the free daily tours organised by the hostel and the rooftop bar in the evening. It was very easy to meet people here - I would stay again on a return trip to Malta

Stayed 3 days and loved it. Everyone was so welcoming. Rooftop has amazing views and bar staff was incredible! Beds are comfy, lots of privacy and you don’t need a padlock as lockers can be open with the key that is used to open the door to your dorms. One thing, climbing up to the top bunk can be a mission. Also luggage storage - wish it wasn’t in the corridor where the lifts are as anyone can take it. I will definitely come back again!

Highly recommend to avoid

Staff was nice but that was where the positives end. The building was 1000 degrees and the AC in the room did nothing. I don’t understand how much it was hotter inside the building than outside. The quality of the mattress and pillow were embarrassing. I could feel every spring in the mattress that is probably old as sin and the pillow was crap too. The hostel owner needs to put some money into the place because the comfort provided is pathetic. The main purpose of a hostel is sleep so if the beds are horrible and the AC does nothing then the hostel is a failure.

I like the location, the stuff were very good especially the guy from Serbia and the guy from Bangladesh they were really helpfull and very nice. I dislike everything at that hostel, very expensive hostel, they never provide their customers anything, service very bad, they charge you 37 Euro per punck bed, and never give you lotion for taking bath. the kitchen horrible, the fridge very small its enough for few persons. not safe at all cos i never found my beer and water after i put it the fridge. the prices for drinks at the rooftop was crazy expensive. No have any kind of services provides to the customers. Really very bad hostel.
