Friday Evening Stay for Bachelorette Party

Upon checking in, there was a continuous beeping coming from the stairwell. After investigating, it was discovered the beeping was coming from the basement behind a locked door. I messaged the host and they stated to attempt to take the alarm off of the wall. After explaining that it was not accessible, I was told that there was no staff onsite to come take care of the issue and that it would be checked on in the morning after checkout. The beeping persisted all night and was audible from the entire first floor of the townhouse. A 10 refund was issued for our trouble. In additional to this issue, the house was dirty and rundown. The couch is filthy and covered in stains. The house is stuffy and hot despite turning down the air conditioning. The shower knob was broken in the upstairs bathroom. The house is close to Soulard, otherwise, I would not recommend staying at this house.

Location was the key for this rental. So much was within walking distsnce, and had little problem getting around. House is large, clean and the beds comfy.

Great weekend for a great price

Very spacious for our party of 6. Beautiful hardwood floors through-out! Cozy bedding. Great location near highways but in a walk-able neighborhood to see the lovely homes in the area. Host was very responsive to our requests. As in other reviews, some updates and walls are sub-par, but overall a comfortable space.

Get what you pay for

We were in town for the NCAA Frozen Four and Cardinals baseball. Came across this listing and thought the price was likely too good to be true based on pictures. Unfortunately, we got what we paid for. The property itself and the neighborhood around it is extremely rundown and falling apart. Upon arrival, it became very apparent very quickly how rundown things were. Electrical outlets sparked when plugging in a cord, and we’re not in very convenient locations. The kitchen table and chairs were quite wobbly and rickety, and even though there are four chairs in the kitchen table picture there were only three left when we arrived for a group of four. Not totally surprising given their condition. Next up was the upstairs bathroom when the shower was turned on the handle pulled right off the wall. When we went to make coffee, the coffee pot had several little cracks in the bottom and leaked all over.. The Wi-Fi was very unstable and never got fully connected (thankfully, we had our own hotspots), the counters in the kitchen were not glued down or secured, the sectional couch in the living room was poor condition, the dishwasher did not work and it was clear things had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time as we found crumbs, a Rubik’s cube, dead bugs, etc., throughout the property if you are looking for a high quality VRBO in St Louis this is NOT the one!

Very basic

A good price, but the paint job was bad, the furnishings were worn. One lamp had tears in the shade and one had a short. Wobbly dining chairs, etc. Some wall and bathroom repairs were obviously DIY. The stairs and entry were very dirty. If you are okay with no extras or frills of any sort, it's adequate. was proud of it.

They said it could occupy 14 people but they only had 4 regular forks and 1 salad fork and a couple of spoons. We had to go buy a cookie sheet so we could make our biscuits for breakfast. The floors were so dirty that our feet turned black. The beds squeaked so bad it we took the bottom matress and put it on the floor. We didn't feel the top bunk was sturdy enough to sleep on. It was an ok property. Pretty well stocked. Some newer windows, but I heard glass rattled when trying to close a door. Upon inspection, the bottom of the frame was rotted away. There was a 1/2 " gap 1to allow air inbarelylraving

The property is definitely an old townhouse style. Many areas of improvement and neighbors across the way were not friendly at all. The area unfortunately was very loud throughout the night into very early morning hours. I would absolutely stay at a property managed by the host as they were kind, prompt in communications, but never this location again.

St Louis Excursion

The property was very convenient to downtown and several attractions. It was clean and had plenty of beds for a large group. The listing said one bath, but there are two which was a nice surprise. The bunnies that visited in the backyard at night were an added bonus. Highly recommend.
