We were in for a family get together and learning about family history. Location is good to get most anywhere in the area without much difficulty. During our stay there was an excessive heat warning but both units stayed cool - folks in upstairs unit from area not used to that kind of heat and they were okay. Only odd thing was access to the upper unit is through the lower unit, but wasn't an issue for us. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a spacious and clean place to stay. There are 2 fully-furnished floors, plus a basement where the washer/dryer are located. We had plenty of space, comfortable seating, and comfy beds.

Could be very nice. Needs a little attention.

This is a nice property in a great location. Very near many attractions and restaurants, but still a quiet residential neighborhood. We had been given an incorrect lockbox code in our check-in instructions. When I called the host, they did pick up right away and gave us the correct code resolving that situation quickly. Some rooms were in great shape (living room, dining room) but some looked a little worn (bathroom, kitchen). The one thing that really lead to a lower rating was challenges with cleanliness. There was hair & stains on some of the sheets. Check out instructions asked to start a load of towels in washer & I saw that previous renters said they found wet laundry when they tried to do this. So I went down to the basement & sure enough, there was a stinky, wet load of towels sitting in the washer. And basement only had two lightbulbs at the far end, making it dark & hard to see. I think if they can get a better cleaning crew in place and make some minor repairs/updates, this could be a very nice place to stay.

Not a dream home

The place is old and it shows. There were no face cloths and no hand towels. The refrigerator on first floor had duct tape for a door gasket and no shelves inside Washer was supposed to be available to use but had a soggy lump of wet clothes in there that we did not want to touch. The faucet in upstairs bathroom dripped constantly and shower upstairs drained poorly

Spacious and Cozy

This is a spacious place combining two apartments, so there are two sitting rooms, two kitchens, and two full baths. This was great for our group as it gave us a home base. We had a great stay!

Quiet Get Away

The property has everything you need for a get away. Dual kitchens make it a blast if you have kids or teen. It is located in a quited neighbor hood. There are lots of things to do near the property. Right near the Del-Mar Loop lots of food and shopping. The gaming table was a hit with the kids while the adults sat at the table playing cards and having family meals. This was a gem in the rough. The owners were very easy to talk to and communicate with. I look forward to my next trip back to St. Louis

Great place in UCity!

Overall we had a great stay. We stayed for part of our spring break trip and chose this home because its big enough for us and all of our kids, its in a great neighborbood we were familiar with and its close proximity to activities like the zoo and city museum. The 4 bedrooms are spread out on two floors, as this is 2 apartments that you bave full access to. Its an older house and charming.A few things kept this from being perfect. We arrived over an hour after check in and the cleaning person was locked into an upstairs bedroom. It was silent inside so we suspect he was sleeping as we heard rustling like someone getting dressed after my husband banged on the door. We contacted the property manager via the app (the number went to voicemail and we didnt get a call back) and were told it would be an hour before he finished as the previous guests checked out late (never communicated with us about possibly not being ready.) Second, the main kitchen with dining room downstairs didnt have a.working dishwasher (discovered after attempting the wash twice) and we opted to hand wash our remaining dishes / rewash the load upstairs which was inconvenient. Finally we were unable to finish the checkout request of starting laundry due to no laundry supplies . Overall if these few things were remedied it would have been a 10/10. We would stay again in the future and loved the rest of the stay. The neighborhood was quiet and we had zero issues with safety and driveway is nice
