Perfect 4th of July

I would definitely stay at this property again! It’s in the quietest little neighborhood, the owners were nothing but fabulous and my family had a great time.

Delightful Stay

Great house for groups or couples

We were in town for an Axe Throwing tournament and had a wonderful experience. House was clean, well stocked and close to local attractions. Hosts went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Historic walkable neighborhood!

We really enjoyed the walkable neighborhood, bakeries, cafe, boutique and brewery! Large dining room and two living rooms were a plus for our families! Easy access to St. Louis attractions, downtown St. Charles and North County. We walked the Katy Trail several times!! The hosts were very responsive when we had questions!!

Great little family weekend trip

We had people from 3 households get together for Grandma’s 75th birthday. The hosts had just about everything you may have forgotten or not realized you needed! Plenty of screens for movies, TV, or the video games a few brought along with us. The beds were super comfy, too! We walked to Coarse Coffee, got some takeout from Salt + Smoke, and did lots of strolling through historic downtown. Grandma and the kids enjoyed some quick Bags/Cornhole games out back, and we even had time for some treats from Grandma’s Cookies and picked up Jilly’s Cupcakes on the way through STL. Thanks for a great little quiet spot for an extended family getaway. Special note if some has difficulty with stairs, plan on them using the front bedroom with the queen off the sectional sofa living room.

Very convenient

We were in town for my husband’s work. The house was in a convenient location for his drive and within walking distance of shops and the historic district for me. The house is all on one level and very spacious. Our stay was in January so we did not use the outdoor seating or backyard but it was lovely. The house is older but has been nicely updated and has a well stocked kitchen. If you visit in cold weather I recommend bringing slippers and/or warm socks as the floors are either tile or hardwood with some area rugs. The most convenient parking is on the street right in front of the house. We were a little leery of that at first but had no problems at all. I would definitely stay here again and would love to visit in warmer weather so we could enjoy the porches and backyard. Our hosts were very responsive and easy to work with.

Mother Daughter Weekend

It was very nice

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing was that the backyard could have been more secure. The fence had issues. We had brought our dog and were afraid he could get out. The inside was nice.

Disappointed

The inside of the house was ok but the backyard was in bad shape. The grill was rusted out and falling apart. Patio chairs were broken. The patio table umbrella was broken and full of bugs when we tried to open it. The picnic table was old and unsafe. The fence is falling apart and latches to privacy fence was broken. We chose this place because it was a family vacation with toddlers and a dog. We planned on grilling and letting the kids run around and play. We contacted the host and she said she would give us a refund. I have yet to see the refund.

Home was the perfect venue for my daughter’s bridal party. We had plenty of room for all girls to get a good night sleep and getting ready for the big day. We loved our time and it added such a nice atmosphere for her wedding preparation. Thank you!!

Great house and yard for family reunion.

Owners very helpful and surprised us with a large doughboy pool filled with water in the backyard. It was the highlight of the reunion since it kept 5 kids cool and happy for hours. The house was fully stocked with paper supplies and towels, etc. Lots of rooms and backyard space for different groups to hang out talking or playing card games.

Family vacay

Cute house and wonderful neighborhood

This cute house is much bigger on the inside! It is in a safe & pretty neighborhood. We love to walk and spent every morning walking around the historic neighborhood. The weather was beautiful and a lot of the neighbors were out on their patios. Every evening we spent on main street eating and shopping. The hosts were great! They were very responsive and quick to let us add an extra day to our stay at the last minute. They also helped us check in a little early since we are from out of town. We enjoyed our stay in Missouri and can't wait to return!

Exactly what we were looking for!

I'll start off by saying how wonderful the hosts were! We fit 18 of us in the house comfortably for a friday to sunday weekend, the house was immaculate when it came to cleanliness and the over all look of the home was exactly what we saw in the pictures, if not better. Communication with our hosts was rarely needed but was met with quick responses when we needed something. The fenced in yard was heaven for having 7 children running around. The fully stocked kitchen made it so easy for us to bring our food and prepare meals in house. We enjoyed the backyard and firepit in the evenings, everything in the home was easily accessed/ found and easy to use. We already added this property to our favorites list and plan to return in the future because we were so pleased with everything!

Very nice house. Plenty of room for a large gathering..

Plenty of space for our family of 4. Much more then we needed. We have 2 small dogs. Yard was fenced in, which gave the dogs some outside time. Nice neighborhood. 20-30 min walk to Main Street. Or a 3 minute drive. The hosts were in constant communication making sure our stay was enjoyable.

Bachelorette Party!

I only have wonderful things to say about this property! A group of 12 of us girls stayed here for a long weekend for my bach party. The check in process was super simple, Mark and Mandi were always amazing at communicating/making sure we had everything we needed right away. The house is fully stocked with everything you need, the beds are SO comfy, and the backyard is perfect for hanging out! The location is great too since it’s only a 4 minute drive/20 minute walk to all the bars/restaurants in downtown St. Charles! We had so much fun at Mr. Thirstys! I would definitely recommend staying here. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time! Thank you again Mandi and Mark!

Girls Weekend

We rented this property for a girls getaway weekend for 8 dear friends of over 50 years . The house is decorated very cute and great for a large group . Wonderful dining table and back yard and plenty of beds . Mindi was super responsive to all of of our questions and promptly sent a handyman over for a repair. Close to great shopping and restaurants.
