We stayed here for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect for our needs. We live in a tiny house and the kitchen was bigger than ours at home so we were able to comfortably cook a nice Christmas dinner. Highly recommended

We just spent 3 nights at this lovely cabin. It was very clean and has all the comforts of home. It even had an air conditioner in the main living area to keep things cool during St. Marie’s warm summers. We will be back!

It was nice, but the struggle was the pits and pans where old and scratched up. Everything sticked Or burnt even with non stick spray. The master room needs a queen instead of a full size bed but it was comfy mattress.

Pros
- Great location
- Clean
- Locals at the fly shop in Avery are some of the best people.
- House was stocked with the necessities.
Cons
- This will be a very real concern for most. There are multiple cameras on the property where you would expect privacy. We also noticed the owners driving by frequently, which made the experience a little awkward.
-After arriving, we realized the location was way over priced.
- The pictures of the property are out of date. The owner acknowledged that this has been the case since 2020, so seems dishonest to me to not change them.
-The property is not on the river nor can you access it by walking, because of private land.
- They require you to pack out your garbage to a location that's about five miles away.

We wanted a place to stay while we fished the St Joe. The location is secluded and quiet and were even had deers visit the property during our stay.
The host was very communicative and available and made everything easy.
Just don’t use Waze to get there! Apple Maps gives a better driving experience due to its recommended drive path. 🙂

Overall a wonderful experience unfortunately marred by the painful experience of seeing so much USFS as well as private and cooperate land.
After having spent the summers of 1957-1961 working on the St. Joe National Forest (renamed the Idaho Panhandle National Forest, except for District 5, Potlatch that was absorbed by the Cleaarwater National Forest.

This house is a PARADISE!
And I feel I’m already ready for other getaway 😅👍!
The house is super comfortable and clean, it is located in a very quiet place. In the morning you wake up with the noise of the birds, and at night it is super quiet. My family loved the backyard space, nature all around, and we love the privacy!
Owners were always in touch, if we had any questions. No complains about it!
Definitely we will be back!
Thank you again!

This house was better then expected! It was very clean and smelled good when you walked in. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The wifi was blazing fast and it has a huge roku rv in the livingroom as well as a smaller tv in the bunk room. The master bedroom had a very comfortable memory foam mattress. The bunks where plenty comfortable for the kids we did bring a mattress topper for them. There was an a/c unit installed in the kitchen that helped with the heat. The covered deck is huge and so nice! It was very quiet. You could hear the little creek outside. It was wonderful! No complaints at all. There's a couple cameras on the front porch. No big deal. Just had to tell the little ones not to pee off the deck. Ha! They are use to country living so this was perfect. Also, with wifi you are able to send texts. I wasn't able to make a call but could if I was using a wifi calling app. We went to Scott's park just a 5 min drive. And we had it all to ourselves. In fact I only ever saw one person there in the 3 days we stayed. It has public river access. The kids swam and we had lunch at one of the many picnic tables. Super fun!

This cabin is delightful. Off the beat and path of the city/town. There are a few neighbors but very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. Spent the days fishing and relaxing.
Sat outside listening to the babbling brook, had a campfire and watched the pond. We saw moose and several deer and ducks.
Definitely going back.

This place was perfect for my guys to land at the end of the day after exploring the nearby river and creeks. The only critique is that a larger bed option would be nice. My husband is very tall so not having a queen bed available was challenging. Other than that it was a wonderful stay! The host was very accommodating!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the surroundings, the house is adorable, had everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners, our dogs absoultely enjoyed running around outside over the frozen pond etc. The one thing I would mention is the beds are not comfortable they are metal spring mattress, and the bunk beds did not have box springs just a thin mattress.
