“PROS: Beautiful accommodation with spacious kitchen, water filter in fridge, great terrace for sunrise and a nice pool. Quiet location away from tourist areas, no mosquitoes. CONS: Kitchen equipment is outdated, communication/organization was inconsistent (wrong booking assumption, checkout message 2 days early causing confusion). Despite being advertised as peaceful, there was frequent construction noise around the pool (drilling, sawing, hammering). The main issues started after……

“Only stayed for 3 nights but did the job nicely. Very clean, well located apartment with decent sized rooms and good ensuite facilities in both bedrooms. Host very communicative and responsive. ”

“This was our 3rd stay in Barbados and previously had stellar experiences in similarly priced VRBO units with similar amenities, those hosts made us feel right at home. This stay was tainted by a dirty unit, missing amenities, and a Premiere host who we felt had little sympathy for the stress the issues caused us. This is the first time I have had a negative experience with VRBO and do not recommend staying here. We arrived around 4:30pm on February 6th to discover the unit was dirty and smelled……

“We were greeted very warmly by host, who treated us like family and was helpful in recommending nearby amenities and restaurants. The apartment was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Property located conveniently from amenities and only a few minutes away by car from beaches and several attractions found in the northern part of the island. Would book again whenever back in Barbados and highly recommend. Thank you Sam!”

“Property is very hard to find. Owner was very adamant that electricity should not be on whole time. There's only 1 A/C unit and hostes was very upset that we kept it on over night (was very hot). There was hardly water to shower, it just trickled out. Cook stove didn't work properly”

“The pros: the apartment was easy to find. Check in was easy. The owner is responsive.The cons: The air conditioning is rationed and limited to a single common room. It is on a motion censor that does a terrible job of detecting people. It cut out on us several times even though several of us were sitting right there in front of it. The bedrooms rely on floor fans but if you're a couple, closing your door is very uncomfortable because the heat and humidity will collect. Upon arrival, it was……

“Everything was perfect! The amenities, the host, the location. Our host, Bryan was extremely helpful, super responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The condo was exactly as described, comfortable, clean and well equipped. We just loved it here!”

“We stayed at Subset Sands for 4 week The accommodation was exactly as described and had everything we needed The location was fabulous and a two minute walk to the bus terminal A lovely bakery just up the street and very close to restaurants Anthony. Margaret and Camille were all amazing and very accommodating Hoping to stay there again next year”

“My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing! Just as the pictures shown - bright, clean, and just across the road from the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops in this cute town and easy bus access to animal flower cave and the lighthouse. Bedroom was at the back of the suite, so it was super quiet and comfy for sleeping. Highly recommend!!”

“Hassle free. Walking distance to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The whole of Barbados is wonderful ”
