We were in Cape Breton for the Celtic Colours festival. The Bras d'Or Lakes Inn was a lovely place to stay. Wendy (front desk) was warm and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the property is pet-friendly. There is a really nice canal walk minutes from the hotel. Highly recommended!

The hotel room was small but every detail in the room was very non-hotel like. The paint colors, furnishings, an electric fire place, wall hangings, towels. The ability to plug electronics in. I travel for a living so I notice when someone has made really personal choices about esthetics and customer comfort. Never saw that coming until I entered the room. And truly nice, welcoming people.
