"In July 2026 , stayed in a deluxe Queen room.
The staff were exceptional. Daniel checked us in, Carol checked us out. Both were the most kind, professional and efficient staff we have experienced at any hotel.
The room was spotless.
We didn’t use the restaurant.
The room itself was great but I found the beds terrible. My daughter and I both found the mattress very soft and lumpy. The hotel needs to invest in better mattresses. I do realize this might be a personal choice but the mattress felt way too soft. Felt like our bum was sinking onto the floor. Probably the worst bed I’ve experienced at any hotel. If the mattress was better I would have rated hotel a 5 out of 5."
"The rooms are on the 2nd floor and the first floor, but on a different side of the building is the bar which includes a stage for drunken karaoke . I don't know how, but I didn't hear any of the music and singing from downstairs. When I went to the bar there was only a handful of people but they had a lot of energy when it came to singing. I just wanted to put it out there because when I saw them singing I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep because of the noise, but, like I said, I didn't hear them at all up in the room.
The person manning the bar was very helpful in getting me set up. I had a billion questions but she answered them all. I also got a captain and coke at the bar which was good. I mean, it is just a captain and coke so not a super high ceiling or floor, but it was good. Not sure what the food is like there since when I got there the kitchen was already closed.
The room I was in didn't have a bathroom but there were a couple bathrooms on that floor and I was honestly surprised with the size of the shower. Pretty nice."
A cozy riverfront cottage, Grandfather’s Landing cottage provides it all!
10/10 Excellent
"Francis was a great host. We had a group of 7 on the property making full use of all the beds. We enjoyed the personal watercraft (paddle boards, kayaks, and canoe), the sauna, and the hot tub. The Blackstone Was perfect for cooking. We enjoyed the privacy of the island. Francis was a great host. Very easy to communicate with."
