Located just blocks from the ocean in a convenient and desirable South Island neighborhood, this two bedroom home features a large fenced backyard, spacious living area and loads of coastal charm. Inside, you're greeted by a colorful living area, decorated with light and bright beachy colors. To the right is the sizable kitchen, dining and living area, perfect for a family meal! The master suite features a king bed with a shared bathroom with the guest room. Convenient for all beach goers is a washer and dryer adjacent to the bathroom. Guests will appreciate their large room with one king bed and one twin bed perfect for parents traveling with kids. You'll be able to unwind immediately with coastal details surrounding at every turn—lots of light, and bright, cheerful, whimsical décor. And located just steps from two of the Island's iconic restaurants, you can walk to Crab Trap, crack some crabs, peel some shrimp and head back home to relax on the porch. Bring or rent bikes and pedal the several blocks to the beach each day. It's the perfect beach house in the perfect location. Enjoy your time at 1055 College Street!

Grandmas House

We really enjoyed the island. The house was the perfect size but extremely dated. Ants were very bad in the back yard. This was like going back to the 80s. Really needs to be remodel. The day my wife and daughter got there the grass was 3ft tall and the place looked abandoned. By the time I made it there the grass was cut and yard was cleaned up. We will be coming back to the island but will not be staying here again.

There were bugs there, centipedes I think, and a few spiders. I killed them when they came out so it wasn’t a big deal for me. Property was clean otherwise. The AC is also way underpowered for the property. It could not maintain 80 degrees inside when the outside temperature was 92.

Fantastic location!

This house was a few short blocks to the beach in a nice, quiet neighborhood and minutes from restaurants and shops. We enjoyed being able to walk most places. We appreciate that it was dog-friendly and had a backyard. WE would recommend it and would stay here again in the future.

The property was nice and was able to accommodate my fiance, our dog, and me without any issues. It was nice to have a backyard so our dog could walk around freely. Bringing our dog on vacation is a must and it can be difficult finding a house that will accommodate us. I’m thankful for finding this house at the last minute. The location of the house was ideal for us. We walked to Crabdaddy’s for dinner. My fiance walked to the pier one morning for coffee. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to SSI and will be coming back in the future.

Convenient location

Property is managed by a real estate agency in town; overall a good setup. Fenced back yard, and quick 2 block walk to the beach (though have to go maybe another 2 blocks over either east or west during high tide). Bathroom and kitchen could use some updating, but has all essentials and appliances fairly well updated. Sitting in the common area is comfortable (one couch and two chairs). Overall a good location for a 1 week stay.

Short walk to the beach!

This was closer to the beach than we expected. The walk was super easy. We also drove to other beach access areas and the parking was not a problem. The property was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Great neighborhood for talking walks and located close to shops and restaurants. The place could use some updating but then it would not be as affordable. This was cheaper than renting a hotel room and we had an entire home. I was anticipating some imperfections. We were pleasantly surprised and thought it was a great place to stay for our first visit to St Simon...thank you!

Very cute house on a quiet street

We were 2 blocks from the beach, an easy walk to the Village Pier and to Crab Trap and Crabdaddy's. The house sas super comfortable and we have an older dog and the fenced in back yard was great. If we are staying on St. Simon again I will look to see if this property is available.

Quick get away.

Perfect property for myself my son in his young family, Very short walk to the beach and a short drive to the lighthouse area and downtown. Bed a little firm, I like soft but that's me. Kitchen equipped with everything you might need. Washing machine a bit noisy but it does the job. My dogs loved running around in the back yard. Short drive to Jekyll Island. Would definitely use again.

Clean, comfortable, pet friendly. Pet fee seemed a bit high, and was not shown on VRBO listing. But the property manager did contact me about the fee prior to finalizing reservation. An outdoor living / sitting area would be nice. Overall quite happy with my stay.
