「We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting. The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed. Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places. Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive. We would stay again 」

「Great room, with lots of extras - mini fridge with fresh milk and cold water, coffee maker, good selection of teas/coffees/biscuits, Dyson fan, lovely toiletries. Comfortable bed. 「What a great find! Visiting the area for a gig & decided to have 2 nights away. The Great House was a last minute booking but what a wonderful place! Idylic riverside setting in a small village with lovely bar & restaurant. Staff were all very friendly, from the lady who greeted us at reception & upgraded our room to the fabulous housekeeping - the lady with the ted hair deserves a special mention as we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her!!! 「Where do we start? Fabulous. We were very impressed with the staff. Alina was professional, polite and could not do enough to ensure our stay was what we had wanted and expected. When we arrived (during one of the hottest days this year) the fan in our room did not seem to work. We went down to report the issue at 5pm then never thought anymore as we went for dinner. Upon our return a beautiful, brand new, large fan was waiting. They had rushed out and managed to find one, which was amazing. ...

「Our go-to hotel if we need somewhere to stay before a Heathrow flight. The staff are all very friendly, food is excellent (both dinner and breakfast), plentiful parking. We stayed in an executive room this time - we liked the extra space and would book this again.
