Auckland Stancich Reserve Park Hotels

"The staff are lovely, so helpful .As school holidays, the pool was crowded and kids were bombing/ diving in and so not very relaxing. You have to cast your phone as no sky movie channel content. I had trouble so gave up. Cooked breakfast was sub standard, people next door to me complained as well...Manager obliging and understanding , but left feeling disappointed.. takes a lot for me to complain. Location handy to domain, but krd and Upper Queen street is quite derelict.Lots of homeless "

"The location is great and staff were friendly. We stayed for 3 nights. My husband and 2 x daughters. The room temp was fixed which meant sleeping was challenging as we were hot. This was a nightmare despite calls to reception we were destined to be in a stuffy room all night. No towels racks? Towels didn’t dry which meant we were constantly having to go to reception for rubbish towels. This wouldn’t have been an issue except housekeeping is only done once every three days. Never stayed in a hotel where the room is cleaned once every three days. We were overflowing with towels and rubbish. I don’t desire to do dishes on holidays. If I wanted that I would have booked an air b and b or serviced apartment. The spa was challenging as it shut at 9 not 10 as stated which meant we wasted time having to get staff up to open for us. There was no bar, no dining and servings of frozen food for the mini bar yuck. Plus at times the lobby and lift smell like actual faeces. The beds were so uncomfortable. It’s not actually a hotel is predominantly residential so expect it to be a bit strange and not a hotel experience. I could go on but you get my idea. Oh and parking is additional $30 a night. When you don’t even get your bed made that’s a bit rich. "

"Property is run down and in poor condition. Zero in person contact at reception, only telephone calls. You need to phone on arrival to get key from lockbox. Room was old, door had been forced open at some point with crowbar, TV would not work, heater did not function, showerhead broken, security chain broken, deadlock bolts on both doors loose. Bed was comfortable however and parking available but that was only plus. Do not stay here. "

"Stayed in room 26 and was woken during the night multiple times from staff dumping glass bottles in a bin and bins being moved for emptying, was right by the large external refrigerator as well so heard that humming most of the time. Staff and ammenities are great but try to avoid that particular room if possible."

"Room was modern and bright. Bed was very comfortable, quiet location, parking on street was good. Car was needed to reach the beach and hiking paths. Great to have washer and dryer in the room. "
