Nice traditional hotel... recommended £60 or less
The overall status of the hotel is nice, we arrived quite later at 1:00am, but the housekeeping starts knocking doors from 9:30 all the way to 10:40 (about 4 times) to ask people to check out... they really did what their boss told...

The Halston is a beautiful venue and our townhouse was amazing and very clean, well equipped, staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast in their hotel and dinner in Penny Blue restaurant were delicious.

We would highly recommend this stay here. Situated in the idyllic Scottish boarders, lovely walks and local village with a playground and pub. We arrived early so had a drink in the bar, check in was at 4 but they started to let people check in at 15:40, it was smooth and there were no issues, the lady was friendly and very helpful. As we got to the lodge the main entrance was covered in bird poo, that had definitely been left there a while, ...
