“The pictures and description are 100% accurate, but being there in person to take in the peaceful surroundings and views of nature with the family was a great experience. The hostess was responsive from the moment we booked and provided all the info we needed to make it to this mountain top cabin on the VA/WV border. We drove up on a Friday and after getting out of DC traffic we were on our way to Almost Heaven cabin. When we’re about a mile or so from the cabin we saw a black bear crossing……

“This cabin was a wonderful place to stay! It was quiet except for the sound of birds in the woods. The interior of the cabin was clean and well furnished; the bed was especially comfortable. While we didn't make use of the fire pit, the screened porch was our favorite place to sit day or night. Although it might have been too early for them, we felt relaxed on the porch knowing we wouldn't be attacked by mosquitoes or other bugs. It was easy to take our dog out for a walk on the back roads……

“Look no further for your stay in the Shenandoah mountains. This gorgeous spot was so peaceful and serene.All you could hear were birds chirping, the rustling wind and river. There are kayaks, a fire pit, outdoor picnic tables and hammocks. It is a birding, hiking, and kayaking paradise. The house itself is beautifully decorated and each room was large, tasteful, and comfortable. The master bedroom was huge, comfortable and elegant. It had everything we needed including a large bathroom. The bed……

“We had an absolutely amazing stay in Luray!!! The location was ideal in a safe quiet neighborhood and extremely close to the Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, and various stores & food options. The home was completely immaculate, like a nice new hotel, and had everything perfectly staged. The rooms were able to comfortably fit everyone in our party (7). The bedding and linens provided were clean and very comfortable. The bathrooms were very nice with fresh towels and good hot water pressure.……

“Delightful hillside abode, with gorgeous views and all the possibilities for fun and relaxation. Came looking for a place to gather our offspring and families together while we were in VA for a wedding. We were out with wedding festivities much of the time and wished we had more time to just relax and enjoy the premises. Grandson enjoyed looking for polywogs in the pond and roasting marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit. A little out of the way but we really enjoyed the outdoor space and……
