“The Retreat at Candler’s Mountain is exactly as represented on the website. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The area is very near everything you’d need in Lynchburg, but feels secluded and is extremely peaceful. The hosts anticipated all the information we would need regarding the rental, including advising us of an internet outage before we were even aware it was out.I highly recommend this property if you are visiting Liberty University and the Lynchburg area.”

“What a wonderful trip we had staying at this lovely property. Unfortunately, due to other obligations, during the day we didn't get to enjoy it nearly enough. The home is so thoughtfully decorated and stocked with any need. You can tell the owners put lots of thought into making their guests comfortable. The area is quiet and full of wildlife. “We had a fantastic family stay at Bernard’s Landing. The condo was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a great home base for exploring Smith Mountain Lake. The location was the biggest highlight. We enjoyed the private lakeside beach, pools, walking paths, waterfront views, and beautiful sunsets without needing to drive everywhere. We rented a pontoon from The Dock at Smith Mountain Lake and spent a full day boating, tubing, swimming, and relaxing on the water. We also visited Smith Mountain Lake……
