Perched just above the Right-O-Way trail, this ski-in/ski-out escape offers instant access to skiing, hiking, and biking—all just steps from your door. Whether you’re visiting in winter for Steamboat’s legendary Champagne Powder or soaking up summer’s cool mountain air, this cozy-yet-stylish retreat is your ideal home base.

Inside, a modern mountain aesthetic greets you with natural wood finishes, knotty alder cabinetry, and thoughtful design touches throughout. Relax in the inviting living area, complete with a large sectional sleeper sofa, flat-screen TV, and gas fireplace—perfect for unwinding after an active day. The updated kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and all the cookware you’ll need for anything from gourmet dinners to easy snacks. Gather around the bar seating for four and stay connected in the open-concept layout.

Step out onto your private balcony for partial views of the South Valley and Emerald Mountain—an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening wine.

The bedroom retreat, tucked behind a stylish barn door, features a plush king bed, soft natural light, and rich stone and weathered wood details. Great view, nice room

Had a great stay. Being at the base of the mountain was great, and Retretia was great throughout the process. There was some smoking in neighboring units which forced us to shut windows, so the room got quite hot. We would definitely stay again despite that.

The feel of the inside was cozy and comfortable. Grateful for the fans because there is no air conditioning in the place. It did cool off at night so we were comfortable with the fans. The view from the balcony was nice but not what I expected from the pictures on the VRBO listing.

Great stay

Overall great stay. Can’t beat this location, literally ski-in-ski-out, short hop on easy green ‘Right-O-Way’ to the base of the mountain. Condo is quaint and cozy, lovely kitchen with all appliances, laundry available just down the hall. A couple suggestions for improvement:- Better light bulbs - quite dim, especially with the shades drawn, could consider a brighter bulb in the kitchen and living room. - Bedroom light fixture needs re-balanced, noisy fan, and the light bulb currently gives of a harsh, white light different from the rest of the unit. - Thin walls - I don’t know how you’d address this, but the walls of the building are incredibly thin, you do hear every person walk by. The upstairs neighbor was quite annoying as every time a door opened, a huge noise was heard in the unit. Things did quiet down during the ‘quiet hours,’ but most of the day is fairly loud.- Would definitely recommend getting sheets/blankets that fit the bed - during out stay, we had full/queen sheets pulled onto a king sized bed - they kept popping off while sleeping. Overall all though, improvement suggestions are minor details, would definitely consider staying again.

Great ski in ski out condo

We enjoyed our stay at this small quaint condo. Great location with convenient ski in ski out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve our Thanksgiving meal. Overall our stay was very nice and relaxing with the exception of the management company’s lack of responsiveness. We had issues with the keys not working bug never could reach them by phone. Later the next day we had issues with the locker keys not working and again could not get them locally by phone. Persistence to whoever directs the calls through to the front desk was asked if he would contact them and ask them to return my call. Overall between the call for early check in and key issues that were made, 1 call was eventually returned. I feel as if a management co is responsible for someone’s property they should be the best advocate for that property. The property itself was very comfortable and nicely designed.

Comfy but needs minor updates

The Condo was very comfy and we did enjoy our stay. However, I would encourage the owner to spend a little for some minor updates. The TV’s are too small. A 65inch can be purchased from Walmart for $398. The shower curtain and liner need a massive update. Something that fits the rod would be nice. Final update would be USB outlets they are a must nowadays. I would definitely stay again but hope some of the upgrades would be considered.

Spring Ski Trip

Storm Meadows East was a great place to stay. The unit was recently updated and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The location was great as it is truly ski in/out. This unit was on the 4th floor, the same level as ski lockers and access out the back to the mountain. The location is a short walk from some restaurants at the base of the mountain, and the Retreatia shuttle was reliable. I would stay here again.
