"I was skeptical about the property when i booked it. Now after staying for four days and three nights, I can say it’s a great property. Very big. Rooms are decent. We had the mountain side view which was awesome as i could see Lauterbrunen valley from the big room balcony. Though bathrooms were not big, I was not small either. The breakfast served was awesome with great views and very big. I liked their coffee machine. They have a big restaurant witch has an internal access and is always well occupied. "

"Nicely positioned with a balcony overlooking the main square. A two minute walk to the castle behind. Excellent pasta in the restaurant below and of course the Italian gelato was welcome."

"I made a reservation and paid extra to get a hotel with a Mountain View and balcony at the Matterhorn Inn, and the night before, I was told without warning that they were moving me to their sister property called Hotel Porta Cervino. Our room was downgraded to a room that overlooked the kitchen and dump dumpsters, there was no balcony, and the room was stuffy. Because we were over the kitchen doorway, the cook and other staff from the restaurant, Wood smoke cigarettes, and their smoke would blow into our room if we had the window open. So unfortunately, we had to keep the window closed and deal with the hot, stuffy room. When I asked about the balcony in Mountain View room, they told me that hotel Porta Cervino was a higher rated hotel than the hotel Manor horn in, so they were upgrading me, even though they gave me a basic room. When we arrived at the hotel, we couldn’t check in, and the restaurant in the hotel was closed until dinner. Our whole day was disappointing, and I would definitely not recommend this hotel nor the hotel Manor Inn, because you would never know what you were going to receive for your money. if you don’t care about your room, and you’re just there to ski, this would be an ideal hotel to stay in, even though I thought it was really pricey for what you were getting."
