A little gem on the edge of the forest
It is an idyllic cottage with two double bedrooms, a spacious living room, a kitchen with dining area and terrace, a bathroom with washing machine and an extra toilet with sink. The living room has a sofa bed for two people.
Furthermore there is the possibility of extra beds, both here and in the larger of the two bedrooms, set up.
The Laffelberghaus is ideal for integrating additional guests at major festivals in the castle, but can also be rented as a holiday home.
The Laffelberghaus backing onto a forest with sweeping views to the Waldviertel.
Romantic and private with its own little garden and sun terrace with barbecue area surrounded by lawn. Fully equipped kitchen for 6 persons.
Laundry and room service on request.

Ruhig, sauber, gemütlich und bei Fragen ein immer hilfsbereites Personal.
Perfekt für Freunde und / oder Familie. Wer Ruhe sucht hat mit der Hütte ein sehr ruhiges Plätzchen gefunden. Die Hütte birgt alle nötige Ausstattung. Die Betten sind gemütlich.
Es gibt 2 Toiletten, jedoch nur 1 Bad. Was sich aber bei unserer 3er Gruppe sich nicht nachteilig ausgewirkt hat. Jedoch ist zu empfehlen mit einem Auto anzufahren. Da Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 30 bis 45 min zu Fuß entfernt sind. War jedoch ebenso wenig ein Problem für unsere Gruppe.
Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir 3 einen schönen Urlaub verbracht.

A nice cottage in lower Austria
We stayed here for a few nights recently and whilst the cottage itself was nice, the furnishings were below par and, the kitchen did not have many things we have experienced in cottages across Austria. It was also a place in need of some care. The house was quite dusty, the only outdoor furniture (picnic table) was slanted the moment you sat and, made for an uncomfortable outdoor experience. The bed was of poor quality and there was absolutely no extra pillows, blankets or towels for a longer stay.
The photos on the website look a lot nicer than what the place actually looks like, when you get there. Whilst it was secluded, it was right next to a working farm and the farmer was out all day everyday with noisy farming equipment less than 20 meters away from the cottage.
The upstairs bedroom was a bit impractical and there was a lot of wasted space. The steps leading to the upstairs bedroom are fairly steep and not easy to use. It is an old house and we do expect some of these things but, it's not so easy if you have younger kids and so on.
I would not recommend this place for more than 2 or 4 people. There is not enough things in the kitchen to cook and cater for more than 4 people. With a bit more investment this place can be great.
We loved the area itself and did many walks around the area. All in all an ok stay. The nearby golf course and restaurant at the golf course is good. A couple of small towns have plenty of shopping options and places to eat out.
