「I travel by myself and felt very safe here. There are several restaurants across the walk from the hotel that are really good. The hotel itself is clean and pleasant looking and the room itself was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. I was happy with the breakfast included. I have stayed here before and will be the only place I stay when in the area 」

「Room was nice. Staff was excellent. It was the first room from the reception desk making it louder than normal and the doors were very very loud when clasping shut. Every time our “neighbors” went in or out, we were awakened. Breakfast was hearty but no pastries were available.」

「The room we initially checked in had issues with the door and the latch was damaged. We were instantly placed in a new room which was acceptable and clean. Did not use the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was fair. 」

「I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms.
