「For the dollar value, off season rate, it was a great deal. At first glance it is beautiful and the room was impressive with all its lights lit up. But the shock and awe stops there. It was freezing cold, the temperature was 65 degrees not just in the room but in the main common areas as well. I turned on the heat pump, and the fireplace and after an hour I had to call and as for the heat to be turned up. We were given wrong wifi password due to recent changes so that was a slight hiccup and not enough towels for 3 people as reserved for. That was taken care the next morning. Pull out couch for 3 rd person wasn’t prepared as in no linen for it. 「I enjoyed the quaintness of the hotel and its historical touches. The food at the restaurant was excellent. My suggestion would be to have vending machines that use credit cards, as many people no longer carry cash. It was disappointing, when looking for an evening snack, to not be able to access them because I didn’t have cash on hand.」

「We stayed at this property ahead of moving our son into his university dorm. It was a perfect location, easy to get everywhere and a grocery store only a 5 minute walk. There was plenty of room to store our things and we really appreciated the covered car port. The house was very clean and the owners responsive. We would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion to future guests would be to bring some sugar packets if you like it in your coffee :)」

「Plenty of parking. They were in the middle of renovations, several hazards, especially for young children. The suite itself, was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. No gym, internet was intermittently buffering so it wasn’t great, and you couldn’t connect to WiFi using their given credentials. In all honesty, we probably won’t go back there next time we come to Halifax. 」
