「Gas boiler had failed inspection so no hot water during stay. Could not find gas boiler so assume it was next door- certificates were out of date anyway. Owners did best by providing electric heaters. Kitchen and bathroom described as modern on website but both are old and in need of updating. Electric shower was either freezing or so hot, danger of scalding. Oven in kitchen very worn and throws out cold air as you stand in front of it. 「Gemütliches und gut ausgestattetes Cottage in zentraler, aber sehr ruhiger Lage (kein Verkehrslärm). Wir haben es als Basis für Bergwanderungen in der Gegend verwendet. Bei dem schlechten Wetter waren wir dankbar für die Zentralheizung, die das Cottage sofort mollig warm bekommen hat, und auch für die Waschmaschine. 「My family and I had had the most wonderful stay at Stronachlachar Lodge. The house is ABSOLUTELY stunning, with picturesque views from almost every window, and being directly on Loch Katarine. It is so peaceful and despite being so big, it is incredibly homely.
