The property is as described in the ad. It is a lovely place for morning coffee and a great launching place for activities in the Story/Sheridan/ Buffalo Wyoming area.
Enjoyed our stay in Story. Nice clean small home with nice deck and yard. Feels private with deer in the yard and horses next door. Would be happy to stay again.
Very cute little spot. The dog enjoyed seeing the turkeys and deer each morning. Wish the fenced* yard was a little more secure but we enjoyed everything else about the property. Easy to check in and everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived:) overall a great stay. We come through Wy often and would book again.
This cabin was perfect for the 4 day writing retreat I was on. It’s small but we spent most of the time on the porch in the gorgeous weather. very small but well appointed, plenty of wildlife nearby, a store with essentials just up the road. We had a blast!
The cabin itself was super cute and cozy. The only issues we had were that there was used coffee in the filter still and the floors were somewhat dirty. Not sure what the cleaning fee is for if it’s left dirty. The location was beautiful with deer and Turkey and the weather was great for this time of year

Stay in Story
Location was great and provided easy access to downtown Story and surrounding areas. The house is best for small groups only. It was clean overall, but the bathroom towels appeared stained and should be replaced. Could be improved with making sure essentials are provided including coffee and paper towels and removing open food from previous guests. The lighting should also be improved as some bulbs were out in the kitchen and only a dim ceiling light is available. My main issue was the lack of communication. The number of nights for our stay changed. I contacted the host via the VRBO app prior to the deadline for making changes. I received no response. I tried a second time, and no response. I only received automated messages a few days before our stay with check-in instructions. The only time I got a quick response was when I asked for early check-in. I notified the host again that we were leaving a day early, notified him of the time we would be leaving, and advised that no check-out instructions were provided besides leaving the trash outside in the bins as we were leaving on a Friday. I did not receive a response until the evening after we had been gone for the entire day (again automated). I sent another message indicating that I am only receiving automated messages as my request to shorten the trip had not been acknowledged. Only then did I get a response that the host would reach out to VRBO to correct the issue. I have not heard anything since that day.
I enjoyed staying there. Very cute and cozy! Would definitely stay there again!

Comfortable but not a great value
Outside porch and weeds need cleaned up. Inside was clean, nice features, also needs some upkeep. Porch light was out and a/c didn't cool the place down. Overall a quiet neighborhood, enjoyed the rusticness of the place
Upstairs mattresses could be more comfortable. Limited head room upstairs would work best for older kids. Clean overall. Not bad for the price.

Not for Families
This is a very tiny cozy cabin, but it’s only good for just 2 adults, not for families. The staircase leading to the loft are steep, fine for day use, but could be dangerous to be used as a bedroom because it would be difficult to get down in the morning.
Everything was good except the lock to lock the front door needs to be fixed. It still works but is very tricky and often times took way to long to try to lock
The house is clean and great, and the owner was responsive. My issues are prob beyond his control, but there’s a trailer behind the house with trash everywhere, and an old abandoned supper club.
Enjoyed our stay. There were difficulties with the door lock pad, there is a space between the door and the jam that made it difficult to lock it. Cabin could use more lighting in the dinning/living room area, we used our lanterns to play cards. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not function and probably needs attention. The over all experience was enjoyable and we would recommend it.
Sagging bed. Threadbare towel. No paper towels or amenities of any kind. A remote but no tv. Trouble with the lock (didn't work) and prop mgr took over 5 hours to respond. Emergency phone number couldnt find reservation. Not as described. Left after 1 night of a 2 night reservation.
Cooking next to impossible due to lack of basic supplies (no dish towels, dish rack, large frying pan, colander, etc). Main room dark due to burned out light bulbs. Junk in drawers. No blanket on bed. Bed and other furniture uncomfortable. Owner unresponsive to complaints. Overall, we are very dissatisfied.

A lot of money for very little
Arrived at the property to find the door lock was malfunctioning and the sliding glass door and screen were broken also. Very dissatisfied with the condition of the yard for my dog. It was not fenced and right next to the main road. I had to leash him to keep him safe. After spending 6 hours in the car, was hoping for $221 a night at least a small secure yard as advertised would be there. The kitchen faucet barely worked and the kitchen essentials were missing. The pots were gross and scratched. The bathroom sink was clogged and the shower head leaked. Thank goodness the water was hot and the place was somewhat clean. The bed was okay, but there was a heater or something that would turn on every few minutes to wake us up. Also the neighbor living in the trailer was very close, so not great privacy.
If the property owner would spend some money on wire fencing, replacing the kitchen and shower faucet and supply the kitchen with a new set of pans. It might be worth the price of $221 a night….but barely. Appreciated that I could have my little dog there and we enjoyed the town. But I would NOT stay there again or recommend.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Story. The inside was very nice and clean. I also really liked having the fenced in yard for our dog. Dalton and Jordan were very responsive with any questions we had and were a joy to work with.
This place is perfect for a small family of 4 with kids! Bring your own TV or electronics. You have wifi but no TV. No big we were hunting. The bathroom and shower are perfect. The kitchen is small but efficient. It could use new pots and pans but we got by. The coffee but was set up and ready! We had 4 guys and the beds in the loft are not for grown men. The bed in the bedroom send you to center. The pictures are taken with a fish eye lens. square footage might be 700 on the whole place. The front porch and outdoor table and chairs were a plus when the sun came out day 3 of our stay. Rick the owner and Dalton are very nice and good people! All in all 2 adults and 2 kids this is perfect. 4 grown men hunting with hunting bags and gear. A little small. The price was right, the place was clean, and the people were very nice!
We enjoyed our stay and had a blast staying in the loft. The house had everything we needed for two people and the directions for everything was very helpful!
