## Emplacement Strasbourg, labeled a City of Art and History, is a must-see stop when touring Alsace. Its old town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is internationally famous for its exceptional architectural, historical, and cultural heritage. Traces of its medieval past and Renaissance period are deeply embedded in its character.
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Grande Île, surrounded by the Ill River, houses the heart of the city center. Wandering along the pedestrian streets, each more picturesque than the next, visitors can't help but be amazed by the perfection of the built heritage. With its canals, banks, cobbled alleys, and flower-adorned half-timbered houses, La Petite France is one of the most romantic districts of the Grande Île. It was once the quarter of tanners, millers, and fishermen. Built in 1572 on the water's edge, the Maison des Tanneurs, now a restaurant, is a beautiful example of the harmony Data. On the Vauban Dam, a panoramic terrace offers a beautiful view of the towers of the Covered Bridges, the river, Petite France, and the cathedral. The Neustadt, a former German imperial district, is another area of Strasbourg listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, where it is pleasant to take a walk. Place de la République, with the feel of a park, is a highlight. The Orangerie Park and its lake also provide a pleasant moment of relaxation in a green space. Events also have a special place. In addition to the very famous Strasbourg Christmas market, the city offers at the beginning of autumn its Musica festival dedicated to contemporary music, as well as the Sacred Days in June, focused on sacred music from around the world. Strasbourg is also home to European institutions. In this regard, the European Quarter hosts the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, and the European Court of Human Rights.
