The Avonlea is a charming and comfortable inn situated in the heart of Stratford -- perfect for enjoying the theaters, food, shopping, and everything else the town has to offer. Our room was well appointed, clean, quiet, and roomy. Although parking is not available, the host will gladly recommend nearby lots that are an easy walk from the inn. We enjoyed our stay!

Despite the name, this is not an inn. It's two rooms for rent above a restaurant. There are no "staff". The owner is available through messaging. The location is fabulous. I strongly encourage anyone thinking of booking to read the 1* reviews before proceeding.

The room was very nice. The parking was awful.it was recommended to use the free parking but it was very far when travelling with suitcases. If you are not good with stairs then that might be an issue as well.
If not for the parking and stairs I would rate this property higher.

The room is very weathered although clean. We were on the third floor and stairs are narrow and carpeted. The place could use a renovation.

Great property, the room was very spacious and well furnished. Check in was easy and convenient, they sent the door codes on the day of. The property was easy walking distance to restaurants and the theatres. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Avonlea Inn for a Stratford Festival weekend. The room was clean and spacious, and the location was great (about 5 minutes from the Avon Theatre and 5 minutes from the 24-hour Cooper Lot). Check in was easy and convenient.

Great big shower. Liked the look and decor. Bed was hard. Dustballs behind bed and night tables. Double bed was too small. Couple of plugs around bed don't work. Third floor (room 3)is alot of stairs.

We had a lovely stay. Perfect location for restaurants, shopping and the theaters. Our room was two stories up, which could be difficult and tiring because of the stairs. But it was also very quiet. Thanks for a great stay.

The Avonlea location was excellent and the room was OK.
I have never written a negative review before but felt that we did not get very good service or value at the Avonlea! The entrance staircase was disgusting because the carpeting on the staircase was dirty and soiled. The TV did not work and the support staff said they would fix the TV but never showed up. Funny because I read the same in other reviews of the property. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this business to anyone!
